This almost wreaks of some team getting misinformation out there with the hope that he drops to the 2nd. Someone say in the top 10 picks. They select a larger need in round 1, but know they NEED someone in 2 for LT. They hope he slips out of 1 so they can grab him there. The surgery makes him a perfect candidate for that type of thing.

We have him on our roster now
Mike Adams El STINKO no foot speed
= not NFL caliber player.Lets hope MM
can help Adams and Gilbert. They are
not NFL caliber starters. Another KC/MT
    bust.

Alot depends on his medical and how much that affected him at the Combine. I still think he is a really good football player. Better than Mike Adams, but certainly not an elite LT.

I think Adams got the raw end of that deal by 1) Getting stabbed and 2) Switching to LT. I'd be fine taking K-Jo outside of the first round as a developmental guy with some promise. Especially with Munch as our OL coach for the time being.

we don't need anymore developmental LTs. Unless they are in round 5-7 or undrafted. We have two in Gilbert and Adams. And they are in both need of some serious development. I think Mike Munchak will have his hands full with these two.

People this is why we are 8 and 8,
    developmental players Adams/Gilbert.
    WE NEED IMPACT PLAYERS.

Cant draft impact players in every round, developmental players are unavoidable, especially once you get past the 3rd round.

both of those guys are 2nd rounders though. LT is such an important position to just say lets bring in a developmental 6-7 round guy to possibly have to move into that spot. we shall see though.

Unless all our picks are in the 1st and 2nd round, you're going to have to take developmental guys, it's unavoidable. So take your pick, want an impact LT? Corner? Safety? WR? Can't have them all be impact players.

yes but not to many teams in the NFL have a developmental guy protecting their franchise QB's blindside. there are only so many elite qb's around, I would think it's a pretty high priority. we have a top safety in troy. a very good prospect that made some impact last year at safety and a seasoned vet at safety. we have done pretty well at corner with guys from the 4th rd. down at corner and have two vets still in place. we also have one of the best wr's in the league and a good young talent ready to step in at wr. we have a late 7th rounder protecting one of the few elite qb's in the league though, with not much behind him. where should our priorities lie?

I have watched him at bama closely. I think he will be better at guard in nfl anyway. maybe right tackle but would not trust him at lt before his diagnosis. he is a beast in run game don't get me wrong. he can be lazy in pass protection at times
