Knee jerk So called Steelers fans?

So far I've read here that we should get rid of Ben ,Fire Arians, Fire Tomlin, Get rid of Taylor, Fire Dick L. ,Get rid of Mendy, The defense sucks, The offense sucks and on and on and on. If they listen to you guys we wouldn't have a team next season. Their were 20 other teams that didn't even make the playoffs. I applaud the Steelers for fighting through all the injuries this season and making the playoffs. I'm pissed too, but some of you guys are acting like spoiled brats. It's ok to question the play of some of these players, but some of this nonsense goes a bit too far. This is just my opinion and I know some won't agree with me and that's fine, but just remember we're Steelers fans.

Yeah, I have read alot of garbage on here. I don't know why I continue to read...

 

Ask the Clowns fans if they would have taken a 12-4 season and a loss in the first round. Ask them if they'd rather have Ben or Dolt. Ask them if they'd rather have our receivers or theirs - our defense or theirs - our coaching staff or theirs - our ownership or theirs. There are lots of other teams that would take our so-called "problems". I'll take my Steelers ANY DAY.

 

This board is always nuts after a Loss, especially a playoff loss, especially a PO Loss when your favored by 8 and look like you've come back.

We all have a right to our opinion, especially after a season like this season. It was embarrasing at best. On a national stage with the Steelers reputation, it was totally unexceptable. Let the people express themselves. I know I am, I don't care who likes it because I'm taking a lot of heat right now because of what happen by a lot of Steelers haters. I'm getting serious heat, so it doesn't matter what you think!!!

 

LOL....who cares about the Clowns fans. We are STEELER fans and we played like crap today. You may be content to just compare our team with what the Browns did but I expect MORE. And- they aren't so called problems. This team has issues that need to be addressed in the off season. That doesnt make me any less of a Steelers fan for pointing out the obvious.

And - edog - it doesn't matter what YOU think either. Let OTHER Steelers fans show their PRIDE in this team. What's wrong with that? 40 years - edog. 40 years we've enjoyed a dominant team - and next year will be another one.

According to god (notice I did not capitalize the "g"), the STANDARD is the STANDARD.

I didn't say it, he did. So, the Standard is the SB. Eight of them to be exact. The STANDARD is defense that knocks the snot out of you. The STANDARD is to not get out hit. The Standard is to run the ball and control the clock. And last but not least, the Standard surely isn't losing to an 8-8 team in the playoffs that do not have a QB.

So, the Standard has NOT been met. Therefore, changes are in order. Since crap rolls downhill, Tomlin is first to go.

But I guess his standard is not the standard I was used to. Gee, what is his standard as it relates to Steeler football?

really because this is word for word the same exact post he would make after every loss. Funny how you even used the knee jerk line and questions how some can even call themselves fans, only thing missing is the bandwagon claims.

Serious heat? I stopped being friends with people who gave me **** about the Steelers. Even have a niece that talked Rams ( Yeah Rams trash talk) smack just a few monthes ago that I told not to ever come to my house again. People at work know how i feel about the Steelers and rarely say anything negative. Funny how when you bloody a guys lip when he gives you **** about the Steelers that the others keep their mouths shut.

 

*sigh* Tomlin will not - and SHOULD not go. You don't give the league 40-years of dominance by changing coaches regularly. Tomlin is the guy. He has shown it in the past and will continue to be the one to lead this team to greatness in years to come. Yes - he says the standard is the standard, but that doesn't mean that when you don't meet the standard EVERY year - it's time to go. If that were the case, many teams would be changing coaches every year, and we would have changed coaches 4 times in the past 6 years.

 

The only thing I'm questioning is the play-calling, both offensively and defensively.

I am always very knee-jerk for about an hour then the reality that the Steelers cannot go to every Super Bowl returns.

We are THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS.....We do not lose games to teams of this caliber. We expect more from our coaches and players!!!

I get upset too. I live in the St. Louis area and have to listen to all the complaining from the Rams fans and kinda don't blame them because they suck so bad, but the I join a Steelers message board and hear the same type of stuff and just wonder why. I've been up to Pittsburgh three times (went to the Tennessee game this year.) and thought the city was awesome. I just think that we have an awesome history and a great team and we owe the team a little more respect than to be calling for everybody's head after a tough loss. I'm sure some changes will be made, but if people are looking for a house cleaning I'm sure they will be disapointed. If your looking for a team that makes those type of changes then you might want to rethink being a Steeler fan.

My intent wasn't to start any trouble. I want to come here and discuss Steller football with other Steelers fans. i just get frustrated when Steeler fans start sounding like Rams fans to me.
