Mid-season would have been weeks ago. Only two games left.

Oh my our fearsome O-line will suffer. What will happen???? Steelers just need to win that last home game for Ben.

Are you being serious? Suffer more than it already is??? I mean I guess we will see but I just don't see how it can get much worse.

Mid-season means "during the season"....not necessarily 8.5 games in. But still, it's weird for coaches not to wait until the season is over, or at least playoffs in/out is set.

Simple; Adrian Klemm is leaving due to Oregon needing him effective immediately. Nothing more to it than that. For that matter, not really much of a story anyways given the fact that Adrian Klemm has had more experience at the collegiate level, is from the West Coast and has more ties there, all signs were pointing to him going the minute that rumor about him leaving popped up.

That said, given what has happened to the team, I would imagine that the Steelers likely sped up his request to go. All that said, I wish him all the best.

More importantly, let us see what Coach Morgan can do. If anything, here is hoping we see something different.

Coordinator/coach. Does that really change the point of my post though?

Actually yes it does. Not as common for a coordinator to leave mid season as compared to a position coach.

Please don't hire from within for his replacement.

I am curious who the understudy is in Philadelphia. Their OL is just mauling people this year.

You could have posted this without the green font, because it’s probably true. Someone needs to take the fall for this team blundering the building of an even slightly respectable O line in the offseason.

Recruiting purposes. College coaching hires happen that way all the time. Many college coaches ditch their teams before their bowl games specifically for that reason.

He’s leaving because he’d almost certainly be leaving at season’s end anyway. If you’re an offensive coach on this team, you’d better have a backup plan.

Well again this is all on Tomlin for hiring assistants under the assistants he let go and him thinking it would be good enough. Art Rooney as well allows this madness to go on without any accountability. So until he steps up and starts doing some bold moves of his own nothing will change. If he is satisfied with just having a coach who has yet to have a losing season and hasn’t won a playoff game in 5 years then there is a major problem. Things need to change and they need to change now and everything and everybody should be evaluated at this point and nobody should be safe.

At the end of the day the OL has been a disaster. It’s hard to imagine anyone doing a worse job than Klemm. I feel a bit sorry for Oregon to be honest.

Sure Benny, Klemm has been the glue holding the OL up to the high standards we have seen. All down hill for the next two games.

I just wonder if he was told to try and find a new job because they were gonna let him go at the end of season. Otherwise it’s kind of a bad look if you’re wanting to coach at the NFL level to be ditching your team with a couple games left.
Either way he wasn’t able to improve the OL throughout the course of the season. In fact they regressed.
