Kirk Cousins really? I guess I would be ok with us taking him if Ben retired, but when the lights are bright he disappears. If your a Steeler's QB you can't be shaky in pressure moments. Plus the Redskins aren't going to let him go. Do you want to hear "You like that" or "How do you like me now" all the time. He'd better win in Pittsburgh if he somehow became a Steeler. None of it matters cause Ben's going to be back. He's not going to write a check for $18 million and never mind the rest of his contract to walk away.

You want to pay Cousins top QB money to hold a clip board and hand Ben's ball cap to him when he comes to the sideline?

I really liked Cousins coming out of college too, but that ship has sailed.

If Ben were to retire I would go after AJ McCarron more than I would Kirk Cousins. The Bungles would never go for a trade with us though.

Don't forget to play the one game when Ben is hurt for five to seven weeks but his ego won't allow anyone else to play when he is only slightly injured and Tomlin clears him to play.

I would take Ben with one leg and a broken arm over Landry Jones. So I have no problem with that scenario.

Ben isn't going anywhere. We can't afford Kirk Cousins and Ben, it's one or the other. Cousins is either going to get franchised or he'll get a deal that's $50+ million guaranteed. On top of that, Washington isn't going to let Cousins leave, it won't happen

Fair enough. What about Charlie Batch though? I was angling more for a cycle over Ben's career he has a habit of missing at least one game for sure before he "cowboy ups" and takes the field regardless of if he should or not so Cousins would be assured of that game if signed lol

It might be another 20 years before we find another franchise qb, let's just enjoy this until its legitimately over.

Why don't we quite wasting time and sign Tom Brady. Ben retires and Brady could step right in. I'm sure a deal could be done!

He is going to get a boatload of money if not from the Skins but someone else. I'm sure we could fit him in while signing Brown, franchising Bell and making an offer to Tuitt. Plenty of cash to go around. They will give him a brand new tablet as well as a brand new sideline jacket to wear for those cold days of just standing there...

I think Ben will retire,he is hurt beat up ..He will need at least 2 Operations to play next year as well as lots of rehab ...Ben doesn't like to practice much he doesn't really work out much so he won'y put in the work..I expect him to retire in the next 2 months....I would give up our 1st. rounder for Jimmy G if we could make that trade...

the time is coming quickly, so we better get a plan in place. no we cannot afford ben and a starter quality guy at the same time. i would take cousins in a heartbeat with the rest of our weapons but until ben is done we can't afford to go this route. we also need to beef up the defense for whomever is the replacement. there is much worse than landry jones out there too. he knows our people, he knows our system and with a good defense he could win games for us when ben is out. having all the weapons on hand can make any qb look good or at least functional.

The Browns are interested in garopolo, they have the inside track with all the first picks in the draft and a boat load of them to burn, I doubt if they give their 1st pick one for him but a 1st pick 2 and a 1st pick 3 will get him for sure, all though they have two 1st round picks and two 2nd round picks, a 3 pick as well as three 4th round picks to get any player they want........

Wasn't New England looking for a #1 rnd pick and a #4 rnd pick. I thought I read that somewhere but could be wrong.

San Fran has cited interested and they have the most picks with 12. Jax has 12 as well. Of course, the reports of "this team is interested in player X" talk should be taken with a grain of salt. It's rampant this time of year.

I agree 100%. I like AJ a ton and think he would fit into our scheme better. I wish h would be a bit taller and stronger, but other than that I think he is rock solid!!!
