Are we going to depend on Screewby all season? Please someone tell me no....please.:rant::beg:

Of course if that puts pressure on Ben and he knows he has to get a TD and 2 pt conversion....:hmm:

Scobee is a legit kicker... For whatever reason he's heady right now, hope he works it out quick

Yeah I would be bringing every free agent kicker out there for a try out at this point. He is just bad there's no way to sugar coat it. I would not want to see him lining up for a game winning field goal. Imagine how ugly its going to get once the weather turns.

Keep him for now but on a short leash. If he can get a couple back to back FG's it might just boost his confidence especially if they are long connections.

I really see no other options at the moment besides going for 2 all the time if he doesn't get it together quickly.

I thought we did a good job of bringing in a reliable, veteran field goal kicker, on short notice...

So far, he has proved me wrong...

We need to be looking at all available options, at this point, IMHO...

Although, I DO like the idea about putting more pressure on Ben, and the offense to get the ball in the endzone, that was brought up, earlier..:icon mrgreen::thumbs up::yeehaw:...
    GO STEELERS!!!

Seems to have a fragile psych, not a good trait in a kicker.

Kickers that don't have a fragile psych are few and far between. They do not see hardly any overall playing time and are relied upon under some of the most stressful conditions. A couple bad kicks can very difficult to overcome yet on the other hand a couple really good ones can do wonders to their game.

Scobee told the trib its just a matter of getting used to a new snapper and holder. He said they are still working on it and adjusted after the first missed extra point and it was good from there. It is true all kickers like the ball held differently so Berry who has probably never held for a kicker before has had to change things three times now. Hopefully they get it worked out and he returns to form.

I dont agree with that. Ive seen plenty kickers miss and get right back to making them. Scobee is clearly rattled.

They said he was 3x over the legal limit. The witnesses said he was driving erratically and really fast. The toxicology report was what said that about his alcohol level. I always thought he was really good and remember one game where he kicked 8 fg's. I think that's a record is it not?

When he committed suicide? You've heard that it was a myth that Bironas was drunk or something?

I'm watching this Colts Jets game and their kickers look crappy too. Makes me think it's gonna be even harder to find a kicker. I guess Scobee is who we have to ride with. Even Vinatieri is missing kicks.
