Why would Weidl agree to come to Pittsburgh then? He has a good rep around the league, he could've gotten a job someplace else, Weidl will have a say along with Khan, and Tomlin.

Where did I indicate he wouldn’t? I said it’s going to still be a collaborative effort but Weldi isn’t even the GM so don’t know what your point is. He wouldn’t have final say anyway.

This isn't dissimilar to what happened with Cowher after he pushed out Donahoe. After that Cowher had nearly all the power. Now Tomlin has the power. Eventually Tomlin will go and Khan will get the power, just like once Cowher left, Colbert had the power.

    Lather, rinse, repeat.

My point is Weidl is the assistant GM, and I expect him to have a say along with Tomlin and Khan, you're doing a lot of speculating .

    No actually he didn’t

And he specifically didn’t want it

It was very clearly a joint effort between BC and KC

It will be the same between OK and MT

And just to be clear Mr Rooney has the final say on any decision

It is totally opposite. There was a true disagreement between BC and Donahue. This situation was a guy who decided to retire. Was year to year the last couple years. No one forced Colbert out, in fact he still can be called on to consult. Where do these posts come from?

Again where do these posts ( the one you replied to) come from? First time in what seems like forever we will actually get to not only keep some guys, but invest longer term in some of these one deals if the guys ball out.

Which Colbert? Kevin still technically has a job but is stepping away. AR2 has said he will still be around doing other things. I believe Dan is his son and is still part of the scouting department.

Hopefully they sprang for a new can of IC Lite and not the one Cowher left for Tomlin. Does Iron City get better with age?
