Really didnt like the answer KFP gave when reporter asked if he learned anything watching game from sidelines. The answer without hesitation was NO.
Ok, i get players get frustrated with stupid questions, but come on Kenny, really your not learning anything?

If he was benched, he might have a different answer to what he’s learned.

If im correct, they were thinking of benching him after the Browns game? All im getting out of this, is KFP has a lot to learn and being on sidelines he can learn something. But apparently KFP knows it all can do it all so no sense learning. Silly, this is just my take. As yall know, not a fan of KFP. Hope he proves me wrong and i hope he has a very successful career.

Maybe he should be watching film instead of being on McAfee

As if Ben ever watched film.

There's only 2 QBs who ever watched film. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

Hearing that clip I initially, I felt the same. When I watched the entire interview, I found it provided a lot more context than that small clip and didn't have that much of an issue with it.

I love KP's answer when questioned if he learned anything from the sidelines. His answer said two things... I will tell you straight and I'm a competitor.

Just to clarify...Kenny Pickett was NOT on the Pat McAfee show.

McAfee showing a 10 second clip of Kenny does not mean he was on the show.

I wondered if he elaborated on that. That clip looked like it was completely edited so he would get blowback.

Honestly, I don’t have a problem if thats all there was to his answer, a curt no. What does anyone think he learned in one game on the sideline? It was a dumb question that annoyed him. Let these guys speak the truth, I couldn’t care less about canned responses.

Here is the clip they are talking about with KP answering question from an Erie reporter. The YouTube link has the 3 minutes of question for full context

Actually did not. He should be watching film instead of wherever he was.

Kenny's response is just salty because he says he's ready to go this week, but they are going with someone else. It's a competitive response sure, but it's one that could've been handled better. It is what it is. He is kinda getting "soft benched" this week and he knows it. He also deserves it, but that is beside the point.

    Just like Rudolph did!!!

Always open for business! Never stop striving for greatness!

He should be putting in extra work with those two beacons of effort....the starting wide receivers. I'm sure the players that seem to have a difficult time giving effort on back-to-back plays would be chomping at the bit to do the extra work and work on things with their QB. :lolol:

I thought he handled the question fine. It was an insulting question and the person asking it knew it was. I would have said much worse in response.

I don't think it was particularly insulting. The guy was sitting on the sideline due to injury and the QB that played had a big game. Why is it a big deal to get asked if he learned anything during a game where the offense moved the ball and scored points while seeing the game from a different viewpoint (hence sidelines in this instance vs. on the field)? It would have been insulting had Pickett been benched. He wasn't. He was injured.... it really wasn't an insulting or under the belt question.

The media in Pittsburgh has been really, really soft on the kid. He's sucked for 2 years now and there is very little outside noise calling for him to be benched, and zero reporters asking him hard questions on his poor play. This is as insulated as it gets... If he was in nearly any other NFL city he would be getting that garbage by now but he hasn't.

If he doesn't like the question or doesn't like having his starting role in jeopardy, maybe he should try scoring some f'ing points for a change.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but it was still an insult and it was meant to be that way. No one would ask that of a QB that was playing well and was out for a game or two. You would only ask that of a QB who is playing below the line. It's a back handed way of saying you suck without actually saying it.
