Nah, the squeaky toy I keep hearing is coming from elsewhere, no matter what the post is about, one squeaky toy turns it into an anti Tomlin post. No logic, no new information, just same sound over and over.

One thing that was very obivious in the first Miami game. Brown was double covered the whole game, with a DB and a Safety always sliding his way. This game will require Ely, Tight ends, and others to come up big. In that game, fpr some reason Ben was hesitant to throw to them. He did have one TD pass to Hamilton which was his first game from the practice squad.

Yep they did bracket AB the entire game...We need to stack AB behind DHB use DHB to clear space for AB if they insist on bracketing AB then DHB will be 1 on 1 if they slide help to that then Eli will be 1 on 1 on the backside ...Ben must take shots towards Eli and DHB to break that bracket coverage on AB....

Back up safeties...send DHB deep let them double AB and kill them with Rogers and Ayers running shallow crosses underneath...

Miami is 30th in the NFL against the rush. With Bell and Williams healthy there is no reason why we can't pound it.

Run the ball, will open up PA. Miami can bring a pass rush.
Play focused, no turnovers, attack gang tackle Ajayi. Steelers move on To K.C.

Agree especially if they hone in on their tackling which I'm sure they'll do. I have faith in the offense, let Miami figure out who to stop. Little Dutch kid will need a lot of fingers.

    Saw this on PFF:

    Quarterback grade: Matt Moore, 63.5

    Crumbling under pressure

Matt Moore was only under pressure on 10 of his 34 dropbacks Sunday, but they were the difference in the game. On those plays he went 2-of-10 for 27 yards and threw an interception. When there was no pressure he was a ridiculous 22-for-24 for 184 yards and two touchdowns. It was a far cry from the previous two weeks, where his passer rating was 133.1 under pressure.

I think the keys to beating Miami are pretty much the keys to beating most of the league:

    Win the turnover battle
    Get pressure
    Be productive on offense

Get a early lead and make Miami one dimensional, make Matt Moore have to beat you and not Ajayi. Miami has a lot of injuries, both starting safeties are on IR and CB Byron Maxwell is dealing with a injury.

Didn't Ben get hurt in the Miami game because someone hit him low after he threw an interception? Hopefully Tomlin and his coaches got through to Ben to throw the ball away when the play is not there and not to try to tackle anybody.

Out of interest, when we say "we need to score early and keep the lead" etc etc. - are there any Head Coaches who plan not to do this...?

I would answer yes as you hear all the time control the ball and keep the other teams offense off the field. I have read where people complain about scoring to quick, I am all about us coming out hitting AB on a 5 yard slant and watching him run for 75 yards.....time after time after time. quick strikes will take the ball out of Ajayi's hands and put it in Moore's hands. jmo

Can't have that Defense that showed up against the clowns. With a healthy Tuitt, Hargrave good to go and the monster of the playoffs James Harrison I feel a bit better. Shut down their run game and it's over. Run the wheels off of Bell, bring the safeties up in the box and Ben will kill them. Anybody can be beat on any given Sunday but I feel this game should be a rout... next will be KC... Im feeling a bit xanex about this game...

Ben cannot make some of the poor decisions he has been making in recent weeks. Without the excellent 4th quarter against the Ravens, we'd probably be out of the playoffs and debating whether or not Ben's ability is starting to regress based on the past month's work. Short of another Tebow-esque defensive meltdown, which I don't see happening; costly turnovers on offense would be our most likely downfall.
