I didn't follow his whole career. I'm learning a lot about him. Playing at a high level for 15 years? Stud!

I had the pleasure to watch Greene his whole career and it broke his heart to leave the Steelers. He hit a Gold mine coming to the Steelers and being apart of "Blitzburgh" all time great person and player.Born to be a Steeler!!!

The Steeters are a classy organization and treat all their people with dignity and respect like Family. That's why they always come back home to the Burgh!! no matter where they settle down at they always call pittsburgh their home. If it wasn't a family oriented organization they would try to stay away, but that's not the case. I hope the Rooneys are grooming other family members to take over and pass the paton to. So proud to be a Steeler fan!!!:yeehaw:

Oh he was devistated....he wanted to retire a Steeler.Just because he hit the ripeful age of 30 Steelers brass thought he was done. You can't measure a competitors worth just by age "Harrison"alone. Atleast he recognizes the Steelers was his best gig and went into the HOF as a Steeler. Love some Kevin Greene the ultimate American!! if only we all could be this dedicated and passionate about our country it would be alot better.:dancing:

Absolutely...Bussy garnered alot of respect across the league during his playing days as well as being retired. Teams had to account for him..so when the Steelers showed up on their schedule they highlighted The Bus!! got to stop him which was not easy and often resulted with an L instead of a W. Hes a HOFer now cruising around the halls in Canton.:herewego:

It was interesting hearing Cowher's comments on the difficulty of balancing loyalty with business decisions in regards to older veteran players. It was obvious he wanted Greene back but they also had Gildon in the wings and was cheaper. Tough choice to make.

Just a heads up!!! During the month of January.... leading up to Superbowl Sunday NFL Network replays all of the previous Superbowls as well as some of the greatest playoff matchups in NFL history. Also the season highlights of the Superbowl winning team. I really love the Superbowl run to 40 it has alot of great footage and highlights including the playoff game against the Colts where Ben made the shoestring tackle to win it and send the Bus home to Detroit and altimately win Superbowl XL. I always set me DVR and record anything Steeler related so I don't miss a thing and watch at my leasure. Even after the seasons over I get my Steeler fix on!!!! Go Steelers:towel:

Yeah I seen that!!! did not like seeing him in Raider gear!!! was that intentional? to piss certain people off. It made me question his loyalty to the Steeler years.

Honestly, I didn't even notice. Woodson has no one but himself to be pissed off at even though he was upset at the Steelers when he left because they wanted to move him to safety and not pay him elite CB money like he wanted. Guess what? The Steelers were right. Did he play CB at an elite level after that? I still wish that we were able to keep him around as a safety for a few more years but he overestimated his value. That's a fatal flaw in sports negotiations.

Really hated seeing him In a Ratbirds uniform as well, but hey he won a ring with them and that's why you play the game to be a Superbowl Champ no hate there. Still one of my favorites I have his Jersey.
