Kenny Pickett's hand size - Be Honest Now...

They are claiming Kenny Pickett's hand size measured at 8.5 inches. Supposedly the smallest measurement ever at the combine. Be honest now, how many of you measured your hands? I measured at 10 inches.

I already said mine was 9,and 7/8s, and I always thought that was small until I heard about Pickett, and M. Vicksburg 8.5

 

Yeah for a second I thought it said “hang size”. Mine is just under 11 inches. Hand size, that is.

He gripped a college ball fine.

 

He has a double-jointed thumb which helps give him grip.

 

I heard during the combine that is what He says, but nobody was getting behind it, or agreeing with that.
I don't know one way , or the other , but that's what was said.

 

His hand size to me isn't my problem with him. I'm not a fan of his footwork. He has a tendency to throw off of his back foot. He's not going to get with that in the NFL. His happy feet are problematic for me.

 

I measured my hand at 8.5 but I have arthritis and it hurt like hell and I couldn't stretch my hand out any further. So yeah Pickett has really small hands for a guy 6'3" and 220lbs.

 

Hey I'll give it a go. I'll play for league minimum and never ask for more.

 

Brett Favre always threw off his back foot. Often as if he was falling away from the target. That may be what made him the "iron man" of football and not missing games due to injury. His knees were never in a position to take a hit during a sack. I think the only time Favre wasn't falling backward is when he "accidentally" ran into Michael Strahan for his record sack.

 

On a good note for the ladies, he wasn't talking about a 8.5 shoe size.

 

My thoughts on Pickett is the experts say he reminds them of Ryan Tannehill. And they mean that a a compliment.. Would any of you trade a first for Tannehill?

I just did. 8.25 inches. Never realized that I have tiny hands until just now. Now I can't stop staring at them.

Which experts? I have yet to see or hear that comparison. I get it because he has good, not great, arm talent and he is mobile without blazing speed, but a similar physical profile does not mean he has a similar ceiling or floor as a player.

To be fair, I think most of these are talking about physical comparisons. Hell, you compare him to Joe Burrow physically, too, though I certainly don't see him as having quite that upside.
