Try again next season if Kenny has a couple good games in a row. One thing you'll notice about this board we change with the wind. I can find you tons of post that Warren is #1 after he had a great game and then tons that Najee is #1 after he kicks some ass.

GoldBunny has his hands down his pants counting for you so far he’s at one but that one is getting greater conviction

How many other organisations wouldn't start their young franchise QB in a play off scenario? It's a weird situation.

You seem to have a lower level/definition of the word “franchise” than do I

I don't think it's that weird at all, especially for the Steelers. Have you ever studied the history of Terry Bradshaw? Terry even lost his starting job in 74 for a bit in 74.

There are other examples of the Steelers draft guys, starting guys, pulling guys, then giving it to them again the next year. Check on the 90's under Cowher.

Yes, and to be clear I am totally fine with them riding with Rudolph after how the team has responded to him. Just hope the line is up to the task. They will need a strong run game whoever the QB is, cant get into a shootout. The run game will probably be easier to establish with Rudolph playing so there is that, too. They did run for 150 yards in Cincy with Pickett playing though so not impossible to do with him but he hasn’t played in a month and Rudolph is in a groove on his deep throws. Had a nice one to DJ that should have been caught against the Ravens.

Glad I dont have to decide! Lol.

Well his weekly word salad cliche ridden presser is today. Guess we will find out then.

Personally Mason deserves to start but I can see Popcorn doing the opposite.

If they really thought KP was their “young franchise QB”, they’d start him on Sunday. If this were Ben in ‘04 or ‘05, no question he’d start.

It would seem they are beginning to have doubts that Kenny is the guy.

Yeah, a bench player who has had better games and stats than KP has ever had.

He hasn't played since Dec. 3. Rudolph may be playing over his head, but it makes more sense to roll with him than it does to have Pickett out there working off the rust for a quarter or two Sunday.

My point wasn't that I think Kenny should be starting. I'd start Rudolph over him like most would. But it highlights I would not see KP as number 1 next season either.

You play the hot hand...Rudolph got the last three wins. This isn't even worth a thread...It's not like Pickett is a real #1 anyway.

Start Rudolph. If he doesn`t protect the ball and looks like a loser, put Kenny in for 2nd half.

you aren't a "Franchise QB" until about Yr 4, with a playoff win or 2 under your belt.

Agreed. Tomlin probably never thought it would play out like this with Mason starting a playoff game, but Kenny got injured, Mitch was atrocious and Mason has played well. There's still a part of me that thinks Kenny would be better in this game but hats off to Mason for rising to the occasion.

I am definitely concerned about starting Rudolph against a team that can rush the passer. The Bills finished fourth in the league with 54 sacks, just ahead of the Colts. Indy's pass rush abused the Steelers' offensive line just four weeks ago. It is a great test to see how far Rudolph has really come.

This is satire, right? I mean, it would almost have to be. Either way, that's some top shelf comedy! I genuinely laughed. Well done!
