I have to post that I am very disappointed in his demeanor (Kenny) on his very latest interview I heard on the Fan. He was defensive and immature... that is not how you should be coming across publicly to fans. I just bought his shirt and I wish now I had bought a Watt NFL Jersey instead. Prior to hearing his interview I was pro Kenny.. not pro Canada. Kenny has lost certainly lost his mojo.. and I said that prior to hearing Tomlin say that... and I think that is because Canada is trying to restrict him from playing the Kenny way.. you have to let Kenny be Kenny. Ben was a great quarterback and wasn't necessarily a pocket quarterback.. Ben danced to the beat of his own drum. Now.. Kenny has lost his mojo because he is being told to play a certain way. Matt Canada has to go... or our season is done. It is better to have an interim offensive coordinator who give us at least a chance to make the playoffs than keep Canada. So.. I believe a firing is necessary regardless if it comes withing the next few games. Kenny... please take a different approach during your interviews.. your age and immaturity is showing.

I'm not sure how anyone can take a large section of the fan base telling you that you suck and are first round bust with grace and maturity. I'm pretty sure given my recent job change that I'd told anyone and everyone critical of my performance to attempt to sodimize themselves and where they can shove their opinions and I'm old and diplomatic. That being said don't give interviews when you are pissed nothing good comes of it I swear they need to have Darth Hoodie teach a class in how to handle the media and say nothing.

Btw welcome and if you don't want the shirt I'll trade you an autographed action picture of Antonio Brown .

I’ll have to watch and judge for myself. Seems very out of character for him.

When was this interview? Did you see it Thorn?

Well, he's not THAT young: He stayed longer in college than most and although it's only his 2nd year as a pro, he's 25-years-old. A lot of 2nd-year pros are only 23. 25 is still pretty young, but it is mid-20s, not early-20s. I'm not sure what interview you are talking about, but he didn't seem bad here.

This is the only recent interview I could find. He is nothing but a complete professional in this.

No I haven't yet but given recent events I've steered clear of a lot of content where they are second guessing everything. Like there was some bs about Pickens liking a tweet critical of Pickett and then pretending it didn't happen.

    ?!

I am also confused as to what interview the OP is mentioning. I cannot find it either. Only interview I found is the one @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace posted above. As for Kenny's demeanor in that Media Session, he handled himself like a Pro.

If one wants to observe what not to say as a young QB, this is a more appropriate video here.

Now, before I conclude this post, allow me to say in Fields' defense that this is essentially a classic case of "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" as Chicago's history regarding QBs has been.... lackluster.. to say the least. However, despite that, being not just drafted but traded up for means that the Bears believe that you are the one who can change the fortunes of the Franchise. Now again, it takes two to tango here; Trevor Lawrence's Rookie Season being the most recent and best example of this. That said, composure and calm are not just essential but pre requisites when you are the Face of the Franchise.

How are these 3 great qb's drafted this year doing for their teams? Asking for a friend.
How about Trevor Lawerence? How has he done even with a QB whisperer. I think he threw for 82 yds Sunday,

CJ Stroud, the guy I hoped the Steelers would sit and wait for rather than waste a 1st on Fools Gold Kenny threw for over 384 yds and 2 tds in his second start...behind a offensive line with 4 starters out. Can't tell me Fools Gold Kenny isn't a huge problem when in 14 games he still doesn't have a multi- TD game and has only threw over 300 yds once.

Same thought ran through my head watching his highlights. Granted it's way early in his career but he sure the hell looks like a winner.

I bet they parsed out the question about Canada at 2:20 mark. Either that or they did some type of parody skit.

Umm he has had multi TD games. Unless you're not considering his rushing TD.

Since we had ZERO chance of drafting Stroud, this post comes off kinda lame.

I've seen a lot of Kenny, never seen him anything less than professional.
I can imagine he's a bit disappointed/frustrated. He can't just shout out "I had better college offensive designed plays than I do here!"

I would agree, he needs to step it up.
But in "Mr. Jet Sweep" offenses, I don't know that Tom Brady or Peyton Manning wouldn't be pedestrian.
"We'll do better this week, we're incorporating a new play called the "Bubble Screen" and we're not afraid to call a "Swinging Gate" play either." - Canada.

I do give credit to the 2 defenses we played.

Houston is a terrible organization. Demeco Ryans has put together a decent staff in spite of the front office.
Offensive Coordinator Bobby Slowik is a guy I know well as he came up from a video assistant in Washington.
He spent most of his time there with the Defense.
His time with Kyle Shannahan has paid off. I would have never guessed he could be an Offensive Coordinator.
So as far as Stroud is concerned, he's getting a Kyle Shannahan playbook which aint all that bad.

I just haven't seen Kenny take any kind of responsibility for anything, not his play, his lack of accuracy, nothing.

You're kinda lame because apparently you missed the point of my post. First of all, how do you know they would have had zero chance? If the 2022 draft had gone as I hoped the Steelers would have drafted Tyler Linderbaum in the 1st rd that year, not Fools Gold Kenny. That would have left Trubisky and Rudolph as your two QBs. Knowing what we know about both Trubisky and Rudolph since they've been here what makes you think this team had any chance at being anything but mediocre??? I'll wait....

Still too early to tell and Stroud may end up being a solid NFL QB. However, OSU track record for producing NFL caliber QBs has not been good.
