Kenny - no passing TDs?

I love Kenny's fight but through 1.5 games he's at 0 TDs and 4 INTs. Granted he has a few rushing TDs but he gets paid to throw the ball. He is no Lamar Jackson.

When do we think he'll start throwing TD passes?

At the current pace he'll finish the year with 0 TDs/30 INTs.

 

I just think the game plan is watered down for him right now - or maybe forever. We will see in the coming weeks if the OC opens it up for him or if this is just his game plan in general.

 

If i remember correctly the offense couldn't score TD's in the redzone last year, at the beginning of the season

No more broken down plays that’s why

 

Pickett honestly reminded me very much of his Soph and Jr years at Pitt. He played well between the 30s but couldn't punch it it. It's not entirely his fault in either case. Once his connection with Pickens gets more chemistry, I think we'll start seeing pass TDs. And DJ/Mapletron need to catch the ball.

 

He got us in or near the red zone a few times. Then all the sudden, we get scared and conservative. It’s like our OC went and cowered in the corner whenever we get close

Two things:

1. The OC is garbage and will always limit Pickett
2. Pickett ain’t no Ben, give him more time to overcome the OC’s ineptitude or get a new OC

 

The hail Mary INT doesn’t count and a couple others were catchable balls. A little concerned about the 0 TDs but I think that’s more a product of Canada being lost.

Tomlin has set him on a path for failure. First, by watching Maryland college football and thinking anybody in that program should be in the pros. Let alone offensive coordinator.

Second, his decisions. If we go into the bye and Kenny is 0-4. 1 throwing td and 10 ints. It’s going to be ugly. That’s a real possibility too.

 

our red zone offense has been **** for years now.. maybe time for a new scheme?!?!? what we're doing now isn't working.. we also had several drives in a row where we ran it up the middle on 1st and 2nd down for no yards.. hard to put a drive together and get in a rhythm when you're that predictable for defenses. the coaching is just awful from top to bottom.. the worst i've ever seen from this franchise.

In the second quarter, steelers ran the ball 5 out of 6 snaps for a total of 10 yards. This was over two 3 and out series.

The foolish coaching staff thought the game (17-3 at the time) was close enough that they should run the ball... so dumb.
