Let go by the Chargers. I'd already have the name on the OC's door changed.

I never minded Whiz. But, the Chargers really haven't been all that great with him running the offense. Is he really any better than Fichtner at this point?

Didn't Whiz get all mad at Pittsburgh for not appointing him HC? Though that may have subsided in 12 years, admittedly.

When something is hard to figure out, find the common denominator. Phillip Rivers is sooooooo over-rated it isn't funny!

I'd rather have Whisenhunt at HC at this point than Tomlin.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't want anything to do with anything related to the Chokers but, they have a history of throwing away talent. Starting with Lance Alworth all those years ago. Much as it makes me gag, they DID finish 12-4 last year. Whiz had something to do with that. OC, yes. HC, no

The only problem is that changing OC now hurts MR's development. Young QB's really need a stable, consistent system. Changing systems all the time can be a death blow for a young QB

yes, but being stuck with an incompetent OC can also be a death blow. A high school assistant coach would be better than Fichtner right now

I guess we are the only team that can’t/won’t pull the trigger on inept coaching:facepalm:. The standard is the standard for sure.

I would like to see it, but it's not happening. Baby steps. Let's get Butler out and go from there.

I doubt he wants back in the `burgh. Also, not sure he is really better. Seems unlikely though not impossible if he holds no grudge.

To be sure, I don't think this would ever happen but it should.

He is light years better than Fitchtner whom I think is way out of his depth. He's terrible.

While I agree with this statement no way we should make this move in season.....

I actually think Fitchner grew a pair last night, got out of his fears, and called a good game, didn’t panic and let mason and his young WRs play and gave them the opportunity to make plays or fail....

Moncrief has two targets, but the young WRs times three were repeatedly targeted as was our TEs...... a good mix of Rushing plays and RB passes......

Our OL is underperforming and a change at OL coach should definitely be our first move .......

Fitchner isn’t off the hook for sure but I’m not sure whiz is the answer..... I wanted him over Tomlin years ago but he has struggled after taking the cards to the SB.....

Pretty bold statement there for a guy still cleaning bubble bath suds out of his orifices. (Sorry BBH - I just can't let it go and truly hope you're OK and you'll kindly avoid that kind of silly stuff in the future. :thumbs up:)

He can't even do a good job as a OC, and got fired, and you want this guy as a HC :facepalm:. I'm glad you aren't the Steelers GM .

Such a lazy argument. There wouldn't be any HC in the league if no one that was ever fired got hired again.
