I was in Mexico at the time and family member sent me a text that we don't have to worry about our nemesis, the Eagles, winning the Super Bowl. I was elated when I heard it. I remember at the start of playoffs how depressed the Eagle fans were. They guessed one and done.

I hate Atlanta for stopping my Pirates in the early 90's then I finally get over that and their Falcons blow huge lead to the Pats in SB. Then they had 4 damn shots at end zone to end the Eagles playoffs and they blew it. Thus I hate the city of Atlanta.

Pretty sure he punched and choked his pregnant girlfriend. I guess there wasn't a video.

Per Schefter Ravens are placing RB Alex Collins on injured reserve today, per league sources.‬

This I never understand. Players get let go from an organization for their transgressions and outright stupidity. WIF would another team sign em. Geez.. They has to be some accountability and professionalism somewhere. If it were me he would be out of the NFL entirely .

This. Imagine if this were one our Steelers - we'd be calling for his cut immediately.

It's pretty pathetic that this was videotaped, well known to authorities and yet it was being swept under the rug in order to try and win at all costs. I find it hard to believe that this incident was just now discovered by Chiefs organization. His roster spot should have been open since the day after it happened if the legal system wasn't so corrupt.

Hill pleaded guilty to domestic abuse in college, so it wouldn't shock me.

If you want to assume the league and the Chiefs are lying, that's fine. It's certainly possible. The official story is that the police had the video all along, but wouldn't show it to the league or the Chiefs. League officials also supposedly tried to contact the victim and got no response.

I'm not saying they aren't all lying. I'm just adding in that part of the story. The Chiefs' statement made it pretty clear that they cut Hunt because he lied to them about the incident, not because he assaulted that woman.

There in lies the problem. It's caught on tape criminal activity. I know innocent until proven guilty and the money making court system of judiciary rulings but for 9 months it was absolutely swept under the rug while rich athlete receives a get out of jail free card in order to continue his normal life making millions and subjecting others to his violent criminal temper.

Dude should be locked up long ago instead of playing in the NFL.

Don't worry, he will throw his well prepared apology out there and find a new team in 2019 that wants to win at all costs. Probably just a 4 game suspension will be the only hassle that team has to deal with.

It seems to me that Steve Howe was one of the first professional athletes I can remember that was suspended, released and resigned by another team time after time after time. Why? Because he was a good closer. Excusing aberrant behavior for the potential that a troubled athlete could lend to winning a championship seemed to trump any morality with many pro and college programs afterwards.

With Hunt gone from Chiefs, there's no team in the AFC left to beat the Patriots. It's gonna be Patriots vs Saints Super Bowl.
