The Steelers had dinner with Correa last night and are said to be interested in him in round 1. Here are some of his games if you haven't seen him.

Personally, I'd be disappointed if he were the first round pick.

Thanks for posting the vids TTF. My initial thought is that I would agree on being a bit disappointed if he were the 1st round selection. However, I do see potential value should he fall to the 2nd, and very good value after that. He looks to be a solid, smart, versatile football player. Add 10 lbs of muscle, and he fits the mold of a quality starting 3-4 OLB who can rush out of a 3 point stance on 3rd down. What strikes me as particularly positive is the lack of negative plays by him in those 4 games. The worst that it got was a number of plays where the tackle got his hands on Correa and effectively neutralized his rush. However, even on those plays you could see him playing heads up and aware, and ready to pounce when the QB stepped up. I also don't think I saw him get taken out of a play by anyone other than an O lineman. By contrast, I'll bring up my pre draft assessment of JJ (sorry) where I noted that he often got manhandled by college TEs and RBs.

Based on these 4 tapes, I think he's a pretty smart, instinctive football player who is athletic enough to make it. He makes me think of Rob Ninkovich, though he's smaller and quicker. He seems like the same heady type of player who will have sneaky success in the NFL. Anyway, I'm not going to make a final assessment based on watching a few games over breakfast, but I am very intrigued.

Walter is the one who has korrea as a first round pick. Also reporting Neal as a first round pick. Why it's hard for these guys to believe we might pick someone with a second or third rOund grade in the, oh, second or third round is beyond me.

draft scout has had him at the bottom of the 2nd to the top of the 3rd. i asked about him a while back in a thread. not a ton of production by him in college.

2014 in 14 games he had 59 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 12 sacks and 2 pass breakups.

2015 in 15 games he had 39 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 7 sacks and 0 pass breakups. 1 more game and production dropped a good bit.

not bad but not 1st round worthy either. he was all mountain west 2nd team in 2015.

kyler fackrell from utah state is in this same range. they are similar players, though fackrell has 1 more productive year and not as many sacks but passes defended and picks in his stats and many more tackles overall. he's a couple of inches taller too ( 6-5). both are around the 245 lb. range. fackrell a tick faster with better vertical and long jump numbers.

    fackrells numbers:

2012 in 14 games he had 82 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 1 pass breakup and 1 int.

2013 in 13 games he had 87 tackles, 8 for loss, 3 sacks, 3 pass breakups and 3 int.

2014 in 1 game he had 2 tackles.

    2015 in 13 games he had 82 tackles, 15 for loss, 4 sacks, 0 PBU, 0 int.

he was all mountain west first team in 2015.

If they take this kid before the 4th, I'd be disappointed.
