Well if that is all the Steelers do is draft another WR in the 3rd round, they will have one of the worst WR corp in the league.
Have to do more than that.

I'm sure you heard announcers say it countless times over the years. Damn talking heads point it out all the time.

My take: A fumble in the first quarter, meh, but a fumble late in the game labels that poor guy (if not a Steeler the hell with him)as a guy who can't handle the pressure of key moment's in a game.

It was exciting to be a Steeler fan with Khan wheeling and dealing but when the dust settled for a moment I realized our #1 is Pickens. None of us know if Wilson and Pickens will click although at the moment I have some confidence. I certainly agree with you that it's a bit scary right now. I'm hoping Muth is a good option to pass to. Still need another decent WR. I know nothing about what's out there but we may get lucky with a 3rd, 4th rounder. He'll have a QB with tons of experience.

Just remember Brady and Purdy*, miracles do happen in the draft.

    * Purdy as a Steeler would not have been in a AFCCG or a SB.

I don't think they go for Frazier in round 1 But let's say they do and he comes in and starts for 8 years at center. Was it still a reach, or a reach that paid off?

That move or lack there of still -issues me off. Now we are forced to draft one high. I really think they tried to get him on a one year deal and he refused.

It is still a reach, but it might be the right decision, anyway.

Did not Watkins have a big game against them in the preseason a few years ago? Perhaps this means they are willing to include Austin in a trade package?

We got a roast beef sandwich for a former first round quarterback

Exactly what do you think we can get for Austin a pickle chip

    As would any GM.

As me and you have stated, this isn't Colbert's Roster to build anymore. This is now officially Kahn's; Kenny's trade being proof positive be it wanted by Kenny or not. Now, it is up to Tomlin to make it work.

Put up or shut up time.

You'd be correct. For that matter, the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine has had the Steelers speaking to receivers like Troy Franklin, Xaiver Worthy, Brian Thomas Jr., Adonai Mitchell and even Keon Coleman; all 6'1 or better. There are exceptions like Malachi Corey but those seem to be far and few between.

On this I agree. Why take the camp beating. Its also the hottest, most humid time of the year. PASS! LOL

Wait till 3 days prior to season start, sign for pretty much full price and workout on your own.

I also don't get why players hate the tag. Wait till last minute, sign the tag, get a BOATLOAD of GUARANTEED money for just ONE season. You'll make almost as much guaranteed in that one season then the entire 3 or 4 year contract when you're later a cap casulty.

Don't be surprised if they take a WR in one of the first two rounds.

Why should they overpay for a #3 WR?

Watkins, along with the Van Jefferson signing tells me that we will be using a vertical passing attack.... Quez is basically a poor man's Mike Wallace

    denzel mims 4.39 6-3 207 33-7/8 inch arms

    marquez callaway 4.45 6-1 205

    van jefferson 4.43 6-1-1/2 200

    quez watkins 4.35 6-0 185

    george pickens 4.47 6-3 200

    calvin austin 4.32 5-8 173

    dez fitzpatrick 4.42 6-3 208

again, may not be perfect but we have some size and speed at the wr spot. add a rookie and we could be OK if azzani really can bring out the best.

303 first downs by this group and 36 TD's.

Never said they should. In fact, I'm saying they won't and no one else will either.

Troy Franklin in the 2nd would be fantastic.

No thanks on Roman Wilson and Ladd McConkey .

If somehow we got Thomas or Mitchell that would be great too. No chance with the other top WRs.

Give me LeGette in the second round, he's bigger than Franklin and just as fast.

    agreed

some here think that a rookie WR is what we need.

    they are wrong

rook WR's rarely produce. Yes - build for 2025 and beyond, but we need a talented WR to be added to this roster via FA or a trade.

trade a draft pick for a proven veteran.

or pay some $$ and get the right FA.

We seem to have a theme going here with these generic guys. With Van Jefferson, Quez Watkins, and now Kyle Allen. Next up we sign George Tucker, placekicker.

Being forced to draft a player makes it a reach imo
