I don’t know how true this article is but he gives Mason 30% of returning. He also stated that Pickett will be the starting QB and Turbiski will be back plus MT just got his contact extension.

I read stuff like this and I get very discouraged in the thought process of this franchise. So if Pickett doesn’t work out we have no QB back up. Then they extended MT contract. This gives little hope of a good season this. I hope I’m wrong.

You do realize this is pure speculation by kaboly? It’s no different than anyone on this board saying there’s a x% chance Rudolph returns.

I think it's a 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197 chance, but then again I am hungry for pie.

Trubisky will be back. Say no more about the motivations of the organization.

The motivation is the same as it always is:

"How can we change as little as possible, don't upset anyone already inside the building, and get to .500?"

Not Championships, they gave up on that years ago. That's why budget Tony Robbins (NFL edition) is still the HC.

The crowd will play a huge part in. The crowd will boo, and quickly. The crowd will be very impatient with Kenny. And there will raise hell if they have to watch Mitch and Mason is not there. At that point that extension will mean very little.

Even if Mason leaves, they shouldn't bring Trubisky back, he had his chance to win those three games they lost and he failed miserably.

Mitch proved he isn't a #2 QB, what's the point in keeping him on the team at his salary?

exactly - i wish Rudolph the best.

FIND A QB - that is what needs to happen. I doubt it is Pickett.

I'm love to see this algorithm to reach the 30% figure that includes anything other than pulling that number out of his a_z :icon e surprised:

Who is this man and why do we care anyways?

And in other news, there’s a chance of rain next week. Whether it happens or not, the weather person can say they were right.

Kaboly is just making up percentages. All of us can sit here and say there is a chance he stays and a chance he doesn’t.

They are going to give Pickett every chance to be the starter being the 1st round investment.

Having Mason at this point breathing down his neck would hurt his fragile ego. Plus if he stinks up the joint early the chants for Mason will be loud and clear.

I'm sure behind the scenes they are not going to push to bring Mason back. They will bring in a #2. Possibly a Dobb's. Trubisky will be cut.

Dobbs wouldn’t be “competition” for Kenny. He’s a backup at best. If they don’t bring Mason back they’ll have to bring in another guy with the potential to compete for the job. Whoever the #2 guy is is going to be breathing down Kenny’s neck. The fans are going to be calling for whoever it is if Kenny looks like he has so far.

Personally, I’d rather them keep Mason than going out to get any of the other available guys that I can think of, but I understand Mason may have unresolved feelings about how he’s been handled and he could also get a better offer somewhere else.

Yes, Tomlin doesn't want a QB controversy. Mason Rudolph will not be coming back and don't be shocked if Trubisky is the backup again because he poses no threat to take Kenny's job.

I am sure he is a nice guy and all but my first cut is trash binsky and getting what we can from that contract, one of the main reason he started those three game was because of the money we were paying him
