I would think that would be the strategy. I honestly do not recall Ike's first pre game, or even his first season. Both were very raw coming out, Ike probably more experience at the college level. If we get an Ike with even slightly better hands I will take it.

it was his first game, for the record Layne had FIVE tackles and 2 assts finishing second to Bush in total tackles for the game, he had some misses but the ganging up on him is a little much after his first pre-season game... I am pulling for Layne,

 

It was his first game and all so can't write him off yet but to people pointing out his tackle count, cb is probably the only position on defense where that count being high is probably a bad thing. It often means his man kept getting catches and then tackled.

 

I think we had one of the sloppiest secondaries in the league, minus Haden.

 

The Ewok might demand a trade if he doesn't get the top running back contract. As the World Turns in today's NFL.

 

How do you think receivers catch passes?
I’m not saying our secondary didn’t have problems. All I’m saying is it’s not as bad as some people think it is that’s all.

 

It did get somewhat better last year. Guys just seem lost out there at times.
