Yeah, I'm not sold on him yet but it's a hell of a lot better then Pickett and Trub. When we play the better teams we will need more then our D. We shall see. Although. I guess Wilson will be QB then.

I was thinking that after the game. Kenny should have just stayed and let things develop a little.

Canada was worse than I even imagined knowing what I saw.

Only issues today with Arthur Smith’s calls were the 5 yard pitch runs. Other than that, another good game calling it.

Not to brag and pat myself on the back, but I was the one saying the Steelers should go and get Fields in the offseason ;).

Have zero interest in Wilson taking the field. He WILL get injured again. He isn't the future.

I'm also not a big believer in Wilsons' passion (or leadership). Wilson will only see playing time if injury or a complete collapse.

I’ve been screaming all offseason long that Fields has all the intangibles, he just needs to put it together. We may be watching that happen now. He’s actually looks fantastic

I think his teammates have bought in on him being the starter. That, and what the coaches see and think are all that matter.

Why even say that? He played against the top defense. Only 1 interception. And 2 TD. He's not afraid and also not afraid to call a play with no huddles where he threw in the middle of the field.

And then you're wanting to book mark this to make a laugh at people for of fields goes down hill?

You don’t like me hoping he gets better :hmm:

Your second sentence seems a little paranoid

Pretty much spot on here. One ran from the challenge, while the other ran towards the challenge... Not surprising that the one that ran towards the challenge might be resurrecting his career and the one that ran away is wallowing in career back-up land.

Steelers saw him everyday in practice and thought enough of him to make him their no 1 pick so something else must have gone wrong. Unless the steelers didn't know what the hell they were doing when they went with him in the draft.

Like any QB, it all comes down to how you handle the reads pre-snap and how quickly you get through them post-snap. Kenny didn't develop even an elementary hold on the NFL offensive or defensive schemes in front of him. Fields looks like he has command pre-snap and is continuously getting quicker and more comfortable post-snap. Simple as that.

And can you believe there are a few very few people here who think is a false narrative that KP ran

And there a few who believe a man never walked on the moon

QB is a crap shoot. College and NFL offenses are so vastly different that it is hard to see who projects into a decent player.

Yeah let's not forget You also said Trubisky was going to be really good here also....because it was all Chicago. Yet He was better in Chicago. So....If You throw enough $hit at the wall....eventually some sticks.

first time the steelers have missed on a no 1 round Qb going back to the 50’s st least. I still think a big part of his failure here was Canada. I agree with those who say he shouldve stayed. I bet he regrets it himself

Justin Fields being the teams number one QB not just for 2024 but moving forward will allow the team to construct the Roster a lot better. Granted, anything can happen so Fields needs to continue to ball out! That said, if he does continue?!?!...

Man.... 2025 could be something special. Keyword is could.

Unlike some people on Here that can't remember from week to week. I said last week that there is no way You pull him if He's winning. Now He's not only winning. He's making changes at the line, and most importantly He's developing a rhythm passing game so the OL doesn't have to hold blocks for 6 seconds, and even more important than that....he really seems like He's working at it, and taking the coaching well.

At the end of 2022,the bears had the worst defense in the league and he had Claypool as number 1 WR....Hard to win with that!

Know why Fields is doing all of this?!

    Again...

    Organizational Stability and Structure.

I asked C.J. Stroud how that feels. He says he loves it. Patrick Mahomes concurs with the aforementioned times 100.

I think this guy can take us places. Defenses will have a very hard time game planning against him

And I say it's the Player, or otherwise Kenny Pickett, and Trubisky would have continued to get better under this same Organization, Stability, and Structure.....Yet Trubisky got worse, and Kenny Pickett wanted out.
