justin brown signed

i saw on the steelers front page justin brown the wr from OKLA. and Penn.St. was signed. i like this kid alot. as ben said and laughed about, " we have alot of receivers here".

 

But, CAN THEY PLAY? It is alot different playing in college compared to the NFL.
All the players in the NFL can play. Except for Alabama, most big time college teams might
have 4 or 5 NFL capable players. The key is can they transition to the NFL, the million dollar question
that talent evaluaters are paid to know.

 

he's not going to wow you with blazing speed, but he's got good hands and size and he seems like a try hard kid. i like that.

what i really like about wheaton,brown and woods from wvu is they are all pretty good blockers. that alone picks up part of our offense we lost with ward.

browns gonna be a good possesion receiver. a first down guy. hines made a living doing this and when you fell asleep on him he burnt you. he's much more in this mold then the wallace,AB mold as a receiver.

i'm pretty excited about our crop of young guys this year. not so much for this year but for what they can become in a year or two in the system. thats what we need guys like this for. i doubt he's anything more then a #3 receiver, but if he's a good at that by next year thats huge. here's hoping.
