Justin Brown appears to be a multi-dimensional receiver

I like what I see from his highlights. Seems to be a tough receiver who will go over the middle and can take a shot. Uses his big frame well to shield the ball from the defender. BLOCKS downfield pretty well it appears. Doesn't create great separation and average in YAC, but fights for the ball. I look forward to seeing what he has on the inside once he gets to camp. That's what differentiates the marginal players from the players that help you win Super Bowls.

If he can catch in the end zone I think you can say good bye to Burress he is cheaper and does more.

I will admit that I often have difficulty projecting the NFL success of receivers like Brown. I like a lot of what I see on film with him. He has good hands, good feel for open areas in the zone, blocks well and shows the tenacity and understanding of how to use his frame to wall off defenders and make contested catches. However, he also shows a significant lack of "suddenness" and speed, and I am not sure that he will ever get enough separation to be an NFL receiver. While he does a good job contesting balls with Big 12 corners, he may not be strong enough to do that with NFL corners. In the past I have been fooled into thinking that these types of guys can make it, when very few do. I will root for the kid to become a player for us, but quite frankly he looks to me more like Dallas Baker (whose college tape fooled me into thinking he could be good) than a legit NFL X receiver. So, I'm hopeful, but not optimistic.
