Guess I'm just an old fuddy duddy then .
It was plain DUMB
Yep I have .I don't anymore though because now I realize the repercussions .
I work in a prison .There are people in there and their only crime is driving dangerously and killing someone as a result . One guy killed 4 people.
I'm also a volunteer firefighter . I've been to many accidents where speed was a factor. Some fatal. It's never pretty. 2 teenagers were killed recently in my area due to speed and reckless driving.
I expect it from young people but I think AB is old enough to know better. I don't care if he wants to risk his own life but don't put others at risk too .
I can’t pass judgement. On that same stretch of road, about 3 am, 40+ years ago, I was pulled over for doing 135. Actually, pulled over is the wrong word. Police were so far behind me I didn’t know I passed them. I pulled in to get gas. A bunch of police cars pulled in a while later and pulled guns. I just stood there holding the pump.
"Officers were responding to a bank robbery at McCandless Crossing when they spotted a Porsche traveling at a high rate of speed and pulled it over."
"Brown is not a suspect in the bank robbery."
this made me chuckle for some reason
He was in a hurry to get to practice lol.. Oh right he never practiced
Damn. What kind of car were you driving?
Maybe he had diarrhea and was rushing to a bathroom
Did it..Was young, and dumb...Could have killed somebody or myself but, I imagine we all did dumb **** when we were young, before we were married, or had kids...I don't hate AB for doing it, but he was dumb, like I was...and he got lucky...like I did
Wonder how New England would handle situations like Bell and Brown?
So Brown was caught speeding. Hopefully he did not jaywalk or litter after he got out of the car.
sounds like my everyday life with IBS.
IBS attack in Austin traffic = it feels like what I would imagine when you know you are going to die but you can accept it. I do this every time accepting the messy accident that is coming but for some reason I always make it lol. Sweats, cramps, chills, blurry vision
Yeah Virginia dosen't play around. I was on my way to South Carolina a few years back, and got pulled over for doing over 90 in VA. They call anything over 90 wreckless driving. Luckily the cop wrote the ticket for 89. I'm not condoning speeding, but I do drive fast.
About 30yrs ago I was clocked at 187mph on a motorcycle.. that ticket cost me 90 days. FYI,, that wasn't the bikes top speed. I have topped 200mph on a race track
I’m doing 80 down the highway right now.
But he still had to attend. I think he was in a hurry to get there.
Wow .. just wow
Stupid but hardly the end of the world. And the why is easy. It's fun to drive fast. Dangerous and very selfish in this instance but still fun. At least he doesn't seem to have been intoxicated. Honestly, I don't think anything needs to be done by the league or the Steelers other than maybe the Steelers releasing a statement of disappointment.
I’ve been over 100mph on roads twice: once in a car in the wee hours (took a picture of my dash, showing the pegged speedo), and once on a motorcycle (just to be able to say I hit 105–inside joke). And I’ve spent lots of time over 100 on the track.
Doing 100+ on urban/suburban streets, with other cars around, is idiotic.
Something must be in the air tonight. I took a half day today and hit 100 on the way home. Must have been as excited as I am to catch the game tonight.
Yep. Fortunately it's legal here in Missouri.
I have done 120+ many times and every time it was just as stupid as the previous times. Thank God I was never arrested for those actions. I now have to tell my kids how stupid and dangerous it is to go over the speed limit. I use math to prove the time saved at 100 versus say 75 isnt enough over a 15-30 minute trip to warrant the consequences of such actions. Bottom line is that its stupid and serves no purpose and has no place in a civilized society. However if anarchy breaks out, try to catch me....LOL
I'm sorry, but this is idiotic. It wasn't just a little over the speed limit. It was 100 MPH. It was stupid and dangerous. That you don't get that simply speaks poorly of you.
