Whats a Reeler?

 

Yeah, livin in Clown country, I hear the "Squealer" crap all the time. Not hard to put them in their place, by simply pointing out our recent head to head records, and Superbowl trophies, etc. tho...
The "Reelers", is a new one to me, tho. Maybe they are implying we like to fish a lot???
The only other possibility that comes to mind is like "reeling around drunk"?(Staggering, and off balance, like when a boxer has his opponent "reeling"?) Quite a stretch, and I really had to think about it for a while, before even coming up with that possibility.

 

I just Googled it.

Reel: 1. any of various lively Scottish dances, such as the eightsome reel and foursome reel for a fixed number of couples who combine in square and circular formations.
2. a piece of music having eight quavers to the bar composed for or in the rhythm of this dance.

In Texas there are Reeler dance clubs.

Turns out it's not an insult at all. Sheeeze, maybe some Bungles fans actually like the Steelers??
