so, definitely going to The Jets game, first time getting to Heinz Field. Wondering when I should start planning getting a hotel room and a parking pass, and if there are any suggestions?

For the hotel room you should have started 2 weeks ago. For the parking pass start 2 weeks before the game.

Yeah. What . . . it(?) said. Get the hotel ASAP.

Regarding parking at Heinz, I don't really understand why anybody goes for a parking pass unless they want to tailgate. The traffic getting out of there after the game is a nightmare. I either park in the Station Square parking garage and take The Clipper over or I park in the parking garage next to The Renaissance, walk across the Clemente Bridge and along the river to the game. Regardless if I'm heading to the airport, Turnpike East, or 79 north, Station Square and Renaissance parking garages make it much easier to get out of the area than the parking lots around Heinz.

My wife and I are thinking of coming in for the Bengals game 9/18 and/or the night game vs KC in early Oct. Any thoughts on one of these hotels specifically? Courtyard @ 945 Penn Ave, Embassy Suites @ 535 Smithfield or Hilton Garden @ 250 Forbes. The rates are basically the same +/- a few bucks.

Definitely will get on this now. Will probably take Eddies advice and park where I can take the Clipper over.

Took my kids to a mid-December game a couple of years ago. Honestly, if you're staying in a hotel downtown, walk to the game. It's not that far, you get to stop at Primonte's on the way, and you save a bundle in parking. Plus, the headache of getting in and out of there.

That or walk across the bridge. That's was great walking back after we beat the chargers. Sucked after the 2 losses lol

Glad this title wasn't a euphemism related to Jessie James.

I'm looking to go to another game this year in Pittsburgh, but can'tvfind the date when individual game tickets become available. It's usually in June, but does anyone know the exact date?

    Thanks!

i think the rates downtown have gone thru the roof the last few years. last year we stayed springhill suites in mt lebanon.
took the subway(which stops right at the hotel) 2 nights were 296 out the door. i havent been able to really find that price for 1 night near the stadium.
i would rather spend the extra 2 hundred on food, drinks and souvenirs.
