Yes I’d agree with a lot of that, the two I really want back are Hilton and Sutton, maybe Feiler too if Klemm would move him back to RT. He is not worth keeping and paying as a guard now that Dotson has shown he is more than capable there. Banner will sign for the minimum and is a no brainer as a depth piece and potential starter if he can show he is good enough.

I don’t think Hilton will be that expensive to retain, $5m- $6m per year maybe? They need to work something out with him if possible.

I would not bring back JJSS, Bud or AL, too expensive, need to find younger guys there.

May as well keep guys like Hawkins and Dangerfield who will be in and around the minimum. When you account for roster displacement you don’t really save anything by letting them go.

Hilton will never be a starting outside corner but he plays probably 70% of the snaps and is a starter in that slot role for all intents and purposes. I hope they don’t lose him.

So you think another team is going to just dish out top dollar and not have a discussion with him about avoiding negative attention that could become detrimental to the locker room? Lol.

In a year full of quarantines I wouldn't underestimate the value of a quality feel good play toy.

Keep him and Sutton, cut Haden. Sutton slides into Haden's role, Hilton stays in the slot.

Some team with a lot of cap space will probably offer Hilton 7-8 million a year.

For what it's worth (coming from PFF not much) they have him re-signing with the Steelers for 3 years 12 million, 4 guaranteed. I personally think his value is more than that on the open market, in 2019 Kenny Moore signed a 4 year 33 million with 9 million guaranteed. I think he get's near that at least.

If he can get that kind of money then he will certainly be gone. Sutton might get a nice offer somewhere too given that he can play slot or outside, very useful player for any team.

Good research there @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace. Those drop numbers are really bad across the board and it really hurt them down the stretch. I hope it’s something that they can figure out.

Did not expect James Washington’s drop rate to be that high.

JW was only targeted 56 times with 30 receptions. His YPC and TD ratio to targets are pretty impressive, that drop % surprised me as well.

Hilton would never be a starting Corner if this game was the same as it was decade to 15 years ago for certain. In todays league?! Doubly so after what everyone has been witnessing in the past three Super Bowls?! Slot Corners are heavily increasing their value as the years go on. While the Premier Lockdown Corner will still remain supreme in the NFL, the Slot Corner's value is going to go through the roof this season; Mike Hilton being arguably the biggest reason why along with Desmond King.

It will be interesting as to whom gets paid more between the two. My money is on Hilton but Desmond King is no slouch either.

Man...I watched every game, and I knew Johnson had the most drops ( he had a really rough few game stretch )...But my eyes and mind surely told me Ebron had more drops than JW...I truly don't remember him dropping that many, But I do remember Ebron doing it...

I attribute that 5.0 yards to Ben's lack of arm strength. Ben focused on the short passes later in the season. Juju was reliable to him much like Heath Miller. For the fact that JuJu had 97 receptions is saying something.

my only disagreement is is Ben focusing on the short pass later in the season, it was all season. If JuJu ends up on a team with a true Nr 1, and either a good slot or TE he will be much more productive in YPC. He fought for every yard, but there were often times he had 2 men in him as soon as he caught the ball.

I agree with you. JuJu is a great player and team mate. Forget the TikTok dancing, it wasn't as big a deal as some try to make out to be. He was having fun and that is it. I also want him back and will be wishing him well wherever he goes, but will be extremely disappointed he is no longer a Steeler.

He's a good football player, no question. But his BS with TokTok was an unneeded distraction and another indicator of a lack of focus, leadership and discipline on this team.

It truly was a completely overblown story.

If they can make the numbers work, they would be foolish not to bring him back.
