Jerry R. did his with multiple QBs.
Ab basically did it with one.
Every Td for sure was from Ben , except the 4 Ab got this year.

I'm not saying he's better than rice. He's obviously not. I'm just saying eh had a better 6 year stretch. And those two qbs he had in San Fran are both better than Ben.

What people? Bell was good no doubt but, teams in the 80s ran the ball much more than now. Bell, or Roger Craig in his prime? Gimme Roger!

Yea I'd take Craig over bell but the nfl players ranked bell as the best rb and many analysts and aficionados did as well. He was known during that period as the best rb in the nfl.

It's all a matter of opinion. Just like it's my opinion that Montana will always be the best QB. You can't buy in to what analysts have to say, they have an agenda.

I mean idk what their agenda was to call bell the best. Not only that the players did too. Can't all have agendas when something like that is widely regarded.

The agenda of anyone or anything related to sports entertainment has been, and always will be, attention, influence, and money. How Bell fits in, I don't know or care as its all opinion based on whatever criteria one wants. So, I wouldn't disagree with this but I m sure others would. The way I look at it, just being in the NFL you're elite as far as the commoner is concerned.

He was ranked #1 twice. 4 and 5 years ago! He was certainly very good, when he wasn't hurt. Widely regarded? How widely? Certainly he wasn't the only one to get votes for best RB....

I really don't care if he goes or stays.. He is really just average and has too many tik tok videos and shows lack of concern for his play on the field.. If he goes you can guarantee the Steelers will find another wide receiver since they never have a problem with recruiting wideouts. He must know that when you act like jacka@@ the opposing team is going to try to make you look silly. Claypool better be careful as well. He has made some comments which could lead to him being a diva. Please Steelers org. No more DIVAS.. Goddammit

A lot of people did that 2 take away from what Ben's was doing. Come on we know outside Steelers fans Ben is mostly ( keyword) hated. How many times have you seen a team that were putting up points like we were at the time , and yet their Wr ,and Rb were more talked about than the Qb. Example Ben throws 30 something Tds , Ab catches 10 or little more, Yet AB , and Bell are said 2 be the only reason Ben is good by the Media and others. LoL . Yet as a Steeler I believe Ab has played with 6 different QBs and has only had Tds thrown 2 him by Ben. Hmmm. :hmm:
So both leave, Bell dissapeared, Ab has only 4 more Tds outside of Ben ,and Ben still throws over 30 Tds.....So the Media comes up with something new.....everyone has figured him out, he has no arm strength, hes can't move anymore, Hes done. LoL. The crazy thing is , because people say it enough, other people start 2 believe it.
Like everything else in this world. Bahhhahah. Bhahhaha. Sheeple.

I mean AB played half a season so hard to judge his numbers. Bell is a
I never heard anyone really say Ben was only good because of Ab and leveon. Hw wasn't talked about as much because people considered them the best at their postion and Ben wasn't considered that but I don't recall anyone saying Ben is only good cause of them when he had 2 sbs before either of them were in the nfl.

I mean that's like saying no one should win mvp because except in what 3 cases no one has been unanimous. Widely doesn't mean every single person it means what the majority says. Most people at that period said bell was the best in the nfl because of his running ability and receiving ability. I'd say from 2014- his last yr in Pittsburgh he was considered the best.

He was really good.......for two years. Pretty much a non factor in the playoffs. I had really high hopes that we had replaced Bettis, even though they had completely different styles. Then, he seemed to start believing his own press and got "Captainitis". I'm sure his agent and the "analysts" contributed to that. He was good but, he wasn't Tomlinson or Payton good. Now, he's..........

All I can say is you weren't paying much attention at the time then. I specifically heard L. Tomlinson, D. Carr, Shannon Sharp, and Colin Cowherd say it. Among others. At the time.
