    One of the numbers that will come into bigger play this offseason is the player's team cap percentage, respective of their position. Often it's overshadowed by the contract total or average annual dollar value. But with the cap normally increasing, the measure of a FA''s true value isn't the $, it's the percentage of cap space they're valued at for their respective team.

    With the negative cap growth this year, players/agents are going to have to get past the initial shock that they aren't going to see comparable dollars in 2021, and really, they likely won't see that side normalize until 2023. Teams will be managing much more to percentage of total cap, and in some situations may struggle even with that this coming year as many players are already under contract and will see their percentage jump with the cap reduction. The numbers will have to be made up somewhere.

    Generally I think you are correct, but some reports I have read state Agents are not going to allow their clients to get short changed. I do not see how they can stop the deflation, but teams with huge dollars will likely overspend for the top level talent anyway, I think it is going to get interesting...will there be more 1 year deals signed hoping the new TV contract brings more bucks, which of course is a gamble due to injury possibilities. Also this past week ESPN has been saying they are not in a position to get into a bidding war and unless the NFL gets creative in allowing ABC to also televise they might not continue the package. This is likely all posturing at this point, but post covid viewing habits are likely to come into the talks, NFL execs are hoping for a big bonanza which may not be there.

    I won't. All these people here literally thought juju could be AB. Just because he acted like a clown in the end they forgot how great he was as a football player. He was transcendent and to just dismiss his greatness as a talent because of how he acted is sad.

    Golden Tate had tweeted

    @Steelers

    But has since deleted it. Wrong side of 30 but a good slot receiver, could be a replacement for JuJu if they lose him.

    No growing up I was big randy moss and t.o fans. Right now I like Diggs, tyreek, adams, julio ,etc.. but what made me such a big AB fan was his work ethic. He worked harder than maybe anyone in the league. Thats why Tom brady gravitated to him so much Tom is the same way.

    Go talk to JuJu now. Doesn’t make sense to bring Ben back and take his weapons away. The idea is to bring Ben back and win it.

    So, you seem to like guys who are great talents on the field bit, PIAs off the field. I tend to lose interest in players whose heads get too big. I like guys like Alworth, Rice, the vastly underrated Charlie Joiner, despite who he played for, Tomlinson. Once they start taking out cell phones and sharpies and changing their names, I'm out!

    I never paid attention to "Megatron" and Steve Smith? Incredibly talented but, little man complex! Can't watch him. Give me Wes Welker-like players. Hines Ward-like players. Larry Fitzgerald-like guys!

    His 6 year stretch was better than any rice had .ab in those 6 years had the most catches and yards over a 6 year span in nfl history.

    Can’t really compare the two. The 9ers had a good running game then.
