Interestingly enough, you don't make that decision. The guys who do make that decision do not share your opinion. Even when Johnson was at his worst, he was still getting a starter's snaps. His team-leading 144 targets were eighth in the NFL, 19 more than the next Steeler. You may wish to see him on the field less, but it isn't going to happen.

Also, Johnson worked his ass off to fix the problem last season and he did a much better job catching the ball later in the season. My best guess is that the guy simply had a slump that he allowed to get in his head for a few games, but he worked his way through it.

    Welcome NewMexicoLobo.

Not to surprisingly, but we don’t have a lot of members from the Land of Enchantment.

    Thanks so much.

Born in Pittsburgh, family moved to Albuquerque when I was six years old - many decades ago! :smiley1:

Dad taught me Pirates and Steelers! Knew right where I was for Maz's homer, learning of Roberto's death, and the "Immaculate Reception".

    Good for you!

Other good things are great weather with zero humidity, mountains, desert, green and red chili, and natural resources.

And our Lobos are coming back! The Pit will be rocking again, and both our major programs (men's BB and FB) now have good young coaches.

There was an author I used to read, one of his characters used to live in Santa Fe, always made me want to live there.

    Welcome to the board :drinks:

Don’t mind Scribe, he’s a curmudgeon, you’ll get used to it.

    I'm also right. :)

As long as he is healthy, Johnson is going to get as much time as any receiver on the team. I imagine you agree. I thought you went overboard when he was a rookie, but you saw the potential there very early on.

Sorry, was just trying to be funny with a light hearted comment while welcoming our new member :smiley1:

I do agree but won’t lie, I still have some concerns about the drops, they can derail his career. He had a drop on an out at camp yesterday, went through his hands. I don’t want this becoming a mental thing with him.

There are a million great Mexican food places to eat. El Pinto is one of them. I confess that I haven't been to the other two you mention.

You should ask your wife about Sadie's and Garcia's in Albuquerque, and also if she (or you all) has been to Gabriel's (north of Santa Fe). Finally, there are a ton of unheard of little holes-in-walls that are really good.

I realize you were being funny. See the smiley face in my post?

I can acknowledge that and continue the genuine discussion at the same time. I think the drops were a mental thing with him last season. He also showed that he is able to work through it. I agree that it could get in his head, but a lot would have to go wrong before he would end up sharing time with Washington. That would also be a serious problem for the Steelers because they don't really have anybody else who can beat coverage as consistently as he does.

Juju might be a more effective inside WR. That doesn't mean he can't play out side. He made some plays on the outside in the past. Sometimes it boils down to opportunity.

Yeah, maybe you'll get used to the condescending I'm-smarter-than-everyone-else prattle that a certain person posts incessantly. It apparently comes with the territory when you teach English to 3rd graders and stay at a Holiday Inn the previous night.

You teach third grade? Bless you. I would never want to teach elementary school.

I hope you enjoyed your stay at the Holiday Inn.

You need to work on your shade-throwing, teach. You have to know that was a very weak comeback. Go work on it and get back with me.
