I meant prior to last year, he didnt have any history of it. It was just mental, got in his head. Zero drops since then.

In the article I mentioned he did say once you drop one it starts to get into your head. Good to have going as he is.

He had about 8 drops in a 3 game span. Wouldn’t call that a season long problem.

I agree that he was thinking about running before securing the ball on some of them.

yea but najee had less plays on offense. 65% last week to johnsons 92%. DJ's targets were way down compared to the rest of the season so far.

Maybe Denver rolled their coverage on DJ after he caught that TD early, and Ben didn't force the ball to him.

Reminds me of Hines Ward in so many ways. Steelers really should try and keep him.

It really wasn't the entire season. Most of those drops happened in a stretch of games in the middle of the season. He had a couple of rough games and it got in his head. Blast's point was that drops hadn't really been a problem for him before last season, either. He thinks the drops last season were an aberration, which seems to be supported by the results so far in 2021.

I think the offensive design was at least a part of why the team has had so many drops last season and early on this year. When you are constantly throwing to receivers behind the sticks and asking them to get the necessary yards on their own, it is natural for them to start turning up the field too quickly more often. That isn't the only reason, but I do think it has been a contributing factor.

Edit: I see Blast had already explained his point.
