That is very refreshing to hear in his day and age of NFL players. Many through no fault of their own end up on several teams and many expect that during their careers but such a young promising player to state that he wants to be with one team only is not at all common anymore.

I hope he stays grounded and both sides work towards that goal.

I love this kid. I hope he does retire a Steeler. It's nice to hear a positive quote coming out of the Steelers locker room for a change.

Definitely down with that. Despite public opinion, the Steelers do actually take care of their own. I don't think there's a person that's a Steelers fan that doesn't like Ju Ju. He's been lighting it up since he stepped onto the field. Also is a good kid with a good personality.

Yes, the Steelers do tend to offer fair contracts to their star players, but the guaranteed money they do offer has typically been lower than guys could get on the open market. That's been the case for a long time now.

I like Juju a lot, but Bell made very similar comments in the past. As with everything, I'll believe it when I see it. Once his agent, friends, family, etc. get in his ear and start telling him he's worth more than the Steelers offer him, then we'll see what happens. I'm a skeptic though.

Either way, I like Juju and I'll still like him even if he was to leave in free agency. I don't hold business decisions against players just like I don't hold business decisions against the owners when they cut players or refuse to offer them a big contract for whatever reason.

He's 22 years old.. Gotta lotta career left to start thinking of playing for only 1 team.. 1 or 2 bad seasons he might not have a choice where he plays unfortunately

I love JuJu! Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL though.

LevBell said he wanted to retire a Steeler too.

    Just focus on this season.

Most players don't act like Bell, what he did is very rare. I don't see JuJu being a dick like that.

Love it! Lock him down for as long as possible. He's a #1 on any team in this league.

I don't believe he will. Did Bell ever go trick treating with kids with his uniform on :lolol:

He seems like a genuinely good guy.

His former college mates seem to think so - I'd have to dig up the article, but it was someone on the Chargers that was saying he's still the same kid he was back in college (well, not that long ago, but still a good sign so far)

Ju Ju is a great player and person. However, lets see how things turn out after his initial contract is up. A lot will depend on who his agent is what advise he's given. Money can corrupt I am afraid. Maybe I am a tad paranoid right now.

While I'd love to see it happen somehow the almighty dollar has a way of changing minds. One thing for sure, you'll never see a statement like that from a young Pittsburgh Pirate.

Faneca was also a good guy .Sometimes business gets in the way. Whether Juju finishes his career here or not had no bearing on whether he's a good guy.

Most players don't finish their careers with the team that drafted them. Odds are he will end up leaving at some point.

The good guy reference was in regards to Bells behavior. People can say it's business and don't see him as greedy (I think he is) but how he went about the whole thing is not something I would see JuJu doing. If Steelers want to sign JuJu, I believe a deal would get done.

AB didn't seem to have a problem with how the Steelers negotiate. I suspect a level headed guy like JuJu won't either.

My money is on him retiring a Steelers.

The timing of his next contract should be in the Steelers favor too. They will probably start working out a deal as soon as it's allowed. He's a rare talent with all the tools (imo), spend whatever it takes. Just don't tag him!

We seem to buck that trend, though - don't you think?

Locking up JuJu long term in the near future should not be an issue. He has proven himself to me already.

Now, why he is not on the Pro Bowl ballot is beyond me.

They won't have to tag him, won't come to that. They'll negotiate a new deal fairly easy I bet.
