Given the responses in this thread and in other's I'd say he isn't that far off base.

I agree. I also don’t think it’s obvious he can produce. He certainly can’t produce as the #1 guy. This goes back to week 17 last year.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. JuJu leaned on social media last season and got propped up by the fans. Things were good. He was the team's and fans' darling. He could do no wrong.

He's a kid who needs constant encouragement and praise from social media to stay upbeat.

Now he isn't producing and all those fans who fawned over him last year are questioning his ability. His ego is not being stroked. It's not all fun and games. And now we're seeing what the negative impact of social media derangement syndrome can do to a loveable kid with too much money and not enough positive reinforcement from friends and family.

He isn't lost...yet. But if he doesn't surround himself with real friends who truly have his best interest at heart, he'll be AB 2.0.

    Hey BURGH43STEL.

Maybe JuJu's "issues and fortunes are tied directly to whoever is playing QB" Okay and....? So, regrading his lack of success up to this point he has to keep his cool. I personally like the guy but what he did is not cool, very selfish and dangerous on many fronts. Sometimes when adversity hits, a person's true character comes out. I hope he does not start to sulk and do foolish things because he is not experiencing the same success that he has in the past. A real man fights through these things and finds a way to rewind, adapt, and become even better.

    Hey The Glory Days.

I just posted something very similar. He has had a lot of success up to this season. Given that, things are not going as good as before. No need now to sulk and do foolish things though. Otherwise, like you stated, he may end up as AB 2.0.

IDK. Didn't we all push our cars over 100 mph in our youth? I mean, yeah. I'd rather he stay safe. But it's normal young man behavior.

He's having a tough year. He'll bounce back.

Juju’s fortunes are tied to another receiver being double teamed. . . and the QB.

I don't believe there is a WR that's doubled every play for 60 to 65 snaps a game. What we do know is that Juju can be a productive WR with adequate QB play. So I believe he can be productive with in a good group of WR's with adequate QB play. I am not sure why people are being so hard on him?

AB had a drop off in production when he didn't have Ben as his QB.

I don't have as much of a problem of him doing 104 MPH so much as posting that on social media. I've driven over a 110 before when I was about his age. It was a momentary rush on my way to Vegas. I'll bet I drove 30 miles like up from Phoenix but I sure wasn't going to let the world know.

Kids these days with their narcissism are their own worst enemy and they don't even care about it.

Cause big colleges don't care about their SAT scores. Just whether or not they can catch a TD, Score a basket, put the puck in the net or spike a volleyball. Everyone else pays.

Only 104? He needs a better car.
And to do it AFTER he retires!

I can imagine this will not sit well with Tomlin. Will the Steelers put the hammer down this time and nip this issue in the proverbial bud?! Time to find out.

The NFL requires every player that wants to be great to update their resume every game. No exceptions. I love JuJu but he has to show me he can do it; be great I mean.

Well with football players, their brains are being continually beat upon by the nature of their sport, like boxing, i’m Amazed when anyone who plays 5+years in the NFL isn’t mentally and physically beat half to death.
I love the sport but what we ask of the participants is deplorable. I’ll never get over what football did to Mike Webster. And somehow it felt worse as a Steelers fan.

Juju will be a conundrum for management in the off season. My heart says try to extend him but my head says we need to see more from him, he certainly won’t be getting WR1 money in the off season now. He needs to prove himself all over again and I think he can in a better overall offence.

I would agree that the decision to post the incident is the issue rather than the speeding itself. We have all driven too fast at some point.

    @86WardsWay@86WardsWay nailed it.

It's one thing to skirt or break the law. To post it onto social media shows a complete lack of judgement.

To have his money and his job and to post himself doing some foolish and illegal so everyone will know about it is a terrible decision.

I think he will not be back after his current contract expires. Hopefully he will not holdout in 2020.

Steeler's have always been good at not overpaying for a #2 WR. I do not see him being tag'd in 2021 and testing the FA market; will result in some crazy team overpaying him with a top 10 WR deal.

I see his ceiling as being the best #2 WR in the league. AKA Hines Ward.
I think he is worth 10 million per year.

If they sign him this off season to a 5yr extension it could be for $60 million with $25 million guaranteed. This would pay him a little over 10 a year for the next 6 years
    Base for 2020 is $1,037,151

All the more reason this offseason is going to be most interesting. Has both Tomlin and Colbert learned their lesson?! Time to find out.

    See what happens.

    Lesson learned.

Parents, don't let your kids get driver licenses, and then become the #1 WR.

It's too much for their young minds.

You guys are crazy, I'm still signing JuJu if they can afford it. There's no way you can effectively judge his production this year with the inconsistent QB play and poor play calling.
He may still be dealing with the loss of Coach Mann, who knows?? I'm definitely bringing him in for a talk if I'm MT though to gauge his mindset.

AB was doubled almost every play. It's how juju prospered so much because he was able to get single coverage vs usually the 2nd best corner on the team.
