A lot of people would have to restructure, or take a pay cut for us to pull off a coup like that

Well, He's a proven commodity and it would give us flexibility with our first round pick.

Oh man! He wouldn't sign his franchise tender, so the Panthers said "see ya" after much of the free agent money is dried up. Obviously we're not in the Josh Norman sweepstakes, but I'd be nervous even if we could afford him. He's not a guy who has been lights out for an extended period of time. Really, he's had a great year (in a contract year) and some good years.

But that would break our salary structure so I dont see Rooney allowing that. Even though it could very well be the key move in getting to a super bowl. But Super bowls are overrated right? LOL

Gutsy move by the Panthers; So there going to either take a cornerback or improve their pass rush with their first round pick.

Love the player but we can't afford him.

Let's just hope he stays in the NFC and certainly that he stays out of the AFC North.

Can I just fantasize for a minute?...

If we got him, that would allow us to take the best safety or OLB/DT/ pass rusher on the board at # 25.

What GM will swoop in and make a power play? I like the thrill and danger of this! If it's a team that's close, he could put them in the catbird seat as the conference favorite.

Love the move by Carolina, big ol middle finger to Josh. These players are out of control with their egos and needing to be the highest paid player in the league.

More teams need to do this and be less like the Raiders who **** up the pay scale.

Oh, and he's not coming here, not happening.

    Dominos

If he had been cut sooner I would expect Oakland would have made a good play for him. That would have allowed Weddle or Smith as better options here.

If Norman goes for the money to a bad team he will get exposed, not a shutdown CB like Revis in his prime he's a good player who got better in his contract year.

Oh he's coming here. When we play Cleveland. LOL! I'm sure they'll pay up. I'd love to have him but he's not worth sacrificing AB and Le'Veon and you know how much I love corners. I actually read somewhere that the 9ers are a likely landing spot because during the Super Bowl he was apparently talking about how much he loves the bay area and crap like that. Would you be willing to give up draft picks for him or an established player of his caliber? I honestly think in his case there must really be something up because pay disputes happen all the time. I mean it's possible that this is all over pay but they might also find him a bit too much of a drama queen too because Ron Rivera is pretty old school and I think if he had a dude that was putting himself above his team I could see him letting a guy like that go. Even if he is as good as Norman was this year.

Oakland has a lot of cap room and badly needs a corner.

That defense could be scary in a couple years and I could see Norman wanting to play for a team with a franchise QB and good talent.

I think Oakland is where he ends up. Everything has broken the Raiders way as of late. They've made a lot of good moves and this one would definitely make them a playoff team. If he just wants money then he goes to the 49ers where he'll be injured in no time. But if he wants to win, he goes to Oakland on a one year deal; and then does something long term in the next off-season.

apparently we are one of the four teams that want him lol. No way, can't afford. Even if we scrounge enough pennies to sign him who says we will win a superbowl? If we don't we are screwed.
