Imagine losing to Jeff Saturday and to an undrafted rookie QB like Tyson Bagent on a terrible team in less than 2 years!

    Just awful!

Dead man walking, sometimes OC/position coaches don't
Have what it takes to be the head cheese.

I’ve seen enough to say that Josh McDaniels is not a good coach. Not every successful coordinator can make the transition to becoming a successful head coach. We see it all the time.

Some of the greatest OCs, and DCs have sucked at being a HC. It has happened like You said many times.

Even the great Dick LeBeau struggled as a head coach.

    Him, and
Wade Phillips both. Who IMO.....I think are two of some of the greatest DCs ever.

The Raiders have had 8 coaches since 2012, the Steelers have had 8 coaches since 1953.

they’re screwed. They’ll hire a new gm and a new coach both of which will have their own ideas. A good portion of the players won’t fit schematically for what they want to do so they’ll essentially start a new rebuild. Spend a couple seasons stuck in the mud which leads to them being fired and the cycle continues

So much for that Belichick coaching tree, another one of his former assistant coaches gets fired.

The fact that the Steelers have stuck with Tomlin for 17 years is enough to know that the Steelers won't ever go down that road. Tomlin's time is over. Can you imagine a game after just 3 days off for preparation after we had two weeks to make constructive changes and we saw what happened.

Sometimes, when things become a problem, it's not good to keep the problem for too long....A team like the current Eagles team understand that

When the current Eagles team wins a SB then. Come tell Me. Until then they are the same as any other team that has lost a SB, and is good until then.

Can You imagine being a team that changes GMs, and coaching staffs every 4-5 years, and don't even get winning seasons?
The team We are talking about is a prime example...., but once teams start actually listening to fans this is what happens. Can You imagine still paying two ex NFL HCs not to coach like the Raiders are doing now, and still sucking??? I don't want to imagine that.

The eagles have been in the super bowl twice since 2017 with 2 complete different core and they won 1 time and they are 7-1 this year...They are a true contender....My point is that when the eagles have some problem(players or coach)they don't kept the problem very long before it become a much bigger problem...Likely the best front office in the NFL

It doesn't have to be that way. The team hired Noll. How long did he stick around? Then the team hired Cowher. Did he stick around for a while? Then 17 years ago we hired Tomlin. Now how do you read into that constantly changing coaches. Every single coach moves on at some point

I agree, but some of these turnstiles of teams were like that at one time, but what people don't understand is something that @strummerfan@strummerfan actually brought up. When You bring in a new coach most of the time they have to scrap everything, and players don't fit into their schemes....so You have to re-draft for some positions You all ready have...., and if it doesn't workout in a few years...people are screaming for another coach, and another Gm. It becomes a slippery slope....that as You can see across the league is hard to get out of.

I have no problem keeping Tomlin but one thing that needs to change, he needs to have a much better coaching staff around him...It's been a big problem since at least 2019

Yes they won one with the former staff. They haven't won one with the current staff. I do like how they get rid of players quickly, but I will wait to hold how well they have done with the current staff for later. The regular season doesn't apply only to the eagles. We were 11-0 just 2 years ago. Yet most want it all torn down.
