I agree, definitely some overreactions for his play. He wasn't playing lights out putting up Pro-Bowl stats, but some really seemed to think he was this sudden breakout star. Gotta like Dobbs as he seems like an all around classy guy. Unfortunately, that alone does not make him a franchise QB.

I would have kept him as the back up ... and not have wasted a pick on Mason or wasted money on Mitch.

The Bears did a good job last night of keeping Dobbs in the pocket and not letting him get outside and run. They forced him to be a pocket passer and the result was a disaster for the Vikings.

Dobbs is nothing more than he ever was, a serviceable backup at best

Talent enough to be in the league.
    Talent enough to start.
    Talent enough to win.
    Yeah, great talent.

Disagree. You must always be in the lookout for better. Just because You failed doesn't mean You still don't try.

Exactly, just because you have talent doesn’t mean you will be a great QB.

Can’t speak for anyone else that may have been overhyping him but my stance has always been he is better than he gets credit for and when he finally was given the opportunity to start he seized upon it. If you are going to judge him solely on wins and losses then you arent getting an accurate picture of his play. Anyone that has watched what he has done this season would know he has been playing some pretty good ball.

And what he did his first game in Minnesota absolutely deserves a lot of props, that isn’t overhyping at all.
