Yea Burns, Davis and Hargrave, all below average starters. Brilliant. Let's hope we can repeat those selections.

Burns and Davis have a new DB coach, let's see if they improve in year 3.

I understand that, but if you're going to take a risk, I'd rather it be for the impact player. That is not Bostic.

Honestly, I'm just annoyed that they missed out on a guy who would have fixed their biggest need and wasn't that unreasonable in terms of salary.

Probably the exception, in this years draft they might be looking for 1 or 2 starters.

They weren't going to use up all their cap space on Mathieu.

I think if he stays healthy he is a big improvement over Spence, especially as a run stuffer. Spence only has 108 tackles in his career and never more than 35 in a season even when he started 9 games.
    Bostic averages 5 or 6 a game Spence 2.

It’s a business decision and pretty obvious from just a common sense perspective!i’m sure Colbert and company would of offered at least the amount the Texans did but when they added up all the numbers didn’t add up.Mathieu said the Cardinals offered him 8 million and he turned it down because he liked the direction and how Schematically he was a better fit with the Texans.Bostic is not even close to Ryan in terms of ability but he does have his strengths as he’s decent at helping stop the run and is better than what we have now. It’s a budget thing like any other business. We paid all the stars(probably not Bell after this year but wishful thinking)and this is where the team is now in terms of cap space. The window hasn’t shut with the players we have now but is real close and need an A draft defensively with some players who can contribute this year although it always takes a few years to get up to speed.

We don’t even need superstars. Just above average players with good coaching and scheme

Can we please give the guy a chance,he's still young and maybe he will be a better fit here schematically. We've lamented and downplayed plenty of signings in the past (Clark,Farrior)that have worked out .we even brought guys back that were run outta town(Foote,Gay).....how many people considered Hilton a camp body...Give it a rest Matheiu didn't fit what we were looking for and trying to do I don't think he's the savior at FS that some are claiming he is. He is more of a slot type ,nickel corner and we already have Hilton for a lot less....Matheiu was looking for a 1 year prove it deal and we usually look more long term in our FA signings. We're typically not in the rental business....

Dude you never know what happens, as for Spence as a person I have no ill will for him unlike you think I do. I just think all his injuries have caught up with him and he is washed up. Just because he stinks as a player don't mean I hate the guy.

I agree with this look how far we went last year with garbage like Mitchell. If we could get a good ILB and S watch out,
