punter camron johnston has resumed punting after knee injury.

waitman did a good job as well for us last year.

both are on the roster. who gets it?

 

The safe bet is Johnston. As long as he's healthy enough to kick, he is the winner. Waitman is a fine phone number to have saved though. He performed as good or better than some of our previous starting punters.

 

Most underrated position in football. Field position is huge in an NFL game.

 

Waitman would be the cheaper option if we were gonna make a big splash in free agency....
Otherwise, it's Johnston,'s job without question

 

Have to wait and see how he responds. Should be a hell of a camp battle. Whoever loses should have another job shortly after.

That's assuming Tomlin takes the wrapper off him and gets rid of the new punter smell he has on him.

as the article says they were stressing field position with the special teams and if he can get back to what they picked him up for he will help. pierre and skowranek are big part's of that as well. robinson played very well on ST's too. now we may get holcomb back and along with wilson we should have really good coverage units.
