Johnson quit on his team he just stood there does Mike have a crush on Mr. I run backwards loops and <quit> on my team like he obviously did with Matt Canada.

I heard the excuse. Didn't Johnson say something? In a spot like that, you trust your player and throw the flag.

True. I blame the officials and Tomlin before I blame Johnson.

If you see your team running down the field and don’t know why chase them and see

Somewhere DJ said he didn’t see the fumble because he was blocking

Watch the replay and he doesn’t block anybody

    Grumble ***** and moan

    Johnson didn’t tell Tomlin anything

From where Tomlin was he certainly could not tell

    There was no video replay

So should Tomlin just randomly throw a challenge

I don't trust his effort, but you have to take the risk for a number of reasons. One is that this team has had far too much trouble scoring touchdowns. The other is that Pickett needs to see his good throws pay off. Tomlin keeps talking about Pickett's work leading to him getting football justice. He had an opportunity to tip the scales for his quarterback and failed to take it.

What is his penchant for the sideline? He’ll make a crazy catch and make a b line for the sideline. His tendencies are clear and have been there from the start. He doesn’t recognize that extra 1 to 3 yards that receivers of lesser talent fight for. He’ll tip a ball then immediately go into ref protesting instead of going after the ball or tackle? There is no effort after he’s out of the picture. That’s just his character. It is what is is but it’s certainly not what many call “Steelers’ Football”.
He’s one of the best route runners there are and he can do some crazy things out there but he doesn’t have a killer instinct. Do you take the bad with the good? We certainly have and it’s hard to argue with it but it’s infuriating.

The ball was in his hands and then the ball was on the ground

Use whatever synonym anyone wants but he dropped the ball

Calm down a little bit maybe. DJ will be DJ. He’s going to have his share of drops and throw his share of tantrums. Even get into a fight or 2 with a team leader in the locker room. Maybe Trubisky, maybe Minkah. Maybe it will be Cam or TJ next. It’s all good fun and football.

    I'm kidding
I figured you would be like bragging about your pickems now that Canada doesn't exist?

I think our friend "Bob" from Canada might argue with your statement. :lolol: As far as the Pickem deal, I'm as surprised as anyone and have now technically pulled back onto page 1, except for that silly alphabet thing that left me on the top of page 2. My secret, I stopped reading the opinions of any experts as well as ignored how TSF %'s were trending when I made my picks - essentially a mental dartboard.

I made that my sig for two reasons. One is that I find it funny. The other is that he wasn't wrong.

There's a very very long winded humorous story that ends with the punchline - "I've come to cease your berry, not to praise it!" I can't type very fast so that's all you get. While snarky can be a good motivator, disassociation from outside influences works much better (for me). :drinks:

    I agree on this.
    1. I didn't want DJ to get the new contract until I seen how he looked with a different Qb because Qbs usually make the player around them..
    2. I still am always sticking up for him, but...
    3. I can't do it for that play on the fumble. Nothing about that play was a good look for Him
    4. It actually made me sick to see it
