He is impressive. As OC his accomplishments are thus:

    NFL:

    2022-present: (Buffalo Bills)

    • In his first full season overseeing the Buffalo offense
in 2024, led the Bills to becoming the first team in
NFL history to score 30+ rushing and 30+ receiving touchdowns. The Bills averaged an AFC-best 30.9 points per game, only allowed an NFL-best 14 sacks and QB Josh Allen was named NFL MVP. Including playoffs, the Bills also led the NFL with 612 points scored.

    • During his second season with the Bills, Buffalo’s offense ranked fourth in yards per game (374.5) and sixth in points per game (26.5). After being named interim offensive coordinator in Week 11, Brady helped the Bills finish the regular season 6-1 while averaging 380.7 yards and 27.0 points per game en route to winning the AFC East.

    • In his first season in Buffalo in 2022, Brady helped Allen earn Pro Bowl honors and finish the season as an MVP finalist. Allen’s success translated into team success as the Bills ranked second in the NFL in both total offense (397.6 YPG) and points per game (28.4).

    2020-21: (Carolina Panthers)

    • In 2020, oversaw a Panthers offense that became just the fifth unit in the Super Bowl era to produce four different players (DJ Moore 1,215, Robby Anderson 1,111, Curtis Samuel 1,051 and Mike Davis 1,015) with over 1,000 scrimmage yards. Carolina also set a franchise record for the fewest punts (45) in a season and tried a franchise- record 27 fourth-down attempts, converting over half (55.6) of them.

    College:

    2019: (LSU)

    • Served as passing game coordinator for LSU for one season in 2019. He helped quarterback Joe Burrow win the Heisman Trophy as the Tigers went undefeated and won the College Football Playoff national championship game over Clemson. Brady won the Broyles Award as college football’s top assistant coach in 2019.

    • LSU finished the season with college football’s top- rated offense, averaging 568.5 yards and 48.4 points per game. The Tigers finished second in passing offense with 401.6 passing yards per game while Burrow set a new FBS single-season record with 60 passing touchdowns.

    Coaching philospohy:

Joe Brady's philosophy of selfless, team-oriented play where all offensive players get opportunities to make plays, rather than focusing on one star, spreading the ball around to maximize team success over individual stats. His work with star QB's sepak for itself, and his does his production for a below aveage team in the Carolina Panthers is impressive.

    " Everbody eats "

    • Selfless Play: Players prioritize making blocks and executing their assignments, even if it means not getting the ball.

    • Shared Opportunities: The ball is distributed to receivers, tight ends, and running backs, making it hard for defenses to key in on one player, as shown by this YouTube video.

    • Culture & Mindset: It's about collective success and finding ways to win, not just individual production.

    • Adaptability: The offense uses plays like screens to get the ball to various players quickly, notes this YouTube video.

As soon as the Bills season ends, he better get an interview for the job. He is 36 years old.

Joe Brady had a generational team at LSU and every coach looks better with a franchise quarterback under center.

True, but he did set record there. So he deserves some credit.

I find his work on a door mat team Carolina Panthers impressive, don't you?

Not against it, but that one would worry me. Lets see what he can do without an elite QB.
I'm all for taking a chance on an up and coming guy, but if so, I would prefer a guy like Mike LaFleur, who has been surrounded by other great offensive minds, rather than Joe Brady who has been surrounded by great QB's.
But then again, getting the most of talented players is important.

The fact that both Joel and Huey want Joe Brady tells me all I need to know about him

It does help to have Joe Burrow and Josh Allen.

Whoever it is the new head coach will be part of drafting a franchise QB.

The miss on Picket I stated several times set back this franchise.

Its time to bite the bullet and hopefully if not this season then next a franchise QB need to be drafted.

Personally I would like to see Chris Shula and him bringing Nate Scheelhaase as the offensive coordinator.

I'm not sure he would accept that given how many looks he is getting for head coaching jobs.
