I see this and can't imagine Darnold leaving. They love him. O'Connell does too. This feels like a Goff thing to me. I could be wrong of course.

You can't just wait until we have the perfect set of players to sign a QB. If we think Darnold greatly improves our team, then we should do it. We still have other money and a draft to improve the offense. I'm not saying Darnold is the sure-fire answer (nor am I certain he would even be available), but if we think Darnold is the guy then do it. We can't wait to assemble the Killer B's and a perfect OL to decide its time to get a QB. The QB masks deficiencies.

I don’t think they tried for some reason. There are lots of curious things in this “copy cat” league that people don’t copy. Best recent example is the Philly tush push. Why the Steelers and every team isn’t working towards perfecting it like Philly. Why?

No thanks. I'm sticking to my assessment that JJ is not an NFL QB.
Time will tell if I'm right or wrong.

Also, aren't their rules against trading guys who are on their rookie contract?
    I'm genuinely asking. I don't know.

Was just looking at the 2020 draft and thinking what could have been...

    A couple of reasons:

    - you need a dominant OL for it to work consistently
    - they cheat at it, as evidenced by many times a TE literally picking up Hurts and carrying him forward

Why do we care where Pickens WANTS to go?

It is a good question, but I do think it is permissible. We traded Pickett on his rookie deal. I feel like we have traded a receiver or two as well in the past (maybe Martavis Bryant).

You're right, it's not different than Pickett so I guess it's fine. Don't know what made me think there was a restriction.

You pretty much stated my same point. We suck at development. :)

Just restrictions on trading a player back to the team he was traded from in the same season.

Pretty much my same argument... there are only 3 QB's to consider and they have shortcomings. Our Draft Position, resources and strategies do not bode well for this draft..
So, we kick the can down the road for another year..... yes, I agree.

Depends on how desperate you are.
After reviewing Trey's performance, they may want to adjust their attitudes towards Dak.

Well, yes, of course I did... the point being these 3 QB's are not great. :)

Maybe you are right, but I gotta say, that does not sound like a better or effective method. I think it’s about practicing it to perfection and no other teams are, and certss as only aren’t practicing an opposite effective technique to stop it because only one team is doing it.
