The depth chart held him back. He simply did not get the opportunities to play. Some players need that game experience to show what they have. Being inactive didn't get it done. And while he may have had some contested drops, he also had a contested catch. To me, that showed potential.

While I was impressed with Cotchery this past year, given the team was 8-8, I would have preferred the young guys were given more opportunities.

I think that would be Coach Tomlin holding him back

If that happened, we may possibly be seeing them in the Super Bowl.

This is how I think this situation plays out. Good!

And anyway won't they get at least some kind of comp pick next year. And also how could the Steelers even think of helping NE last year.

Hopefully some other team signs him to a HUGE 'young money crew' contract.

I really had much higher hopes for Sanders coming out of SMU. I really liked the pick at the time. I thoguht he was going to be a dynamic slot receiver. He showed glimpses this year but unfortunately too little, too late. Probably doesn't help that Eric Decker & Jimmy Graham were drafted shortly after in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft.

He can reunite with Wallace in Miami that would be 2/3 of the young money crew.
