    That can happen when you send an all out blitz that costs you the game.

    The Jets brass obviously want to lose to get the top pick, but wanting to lose and playing to lose are two very different things. It's not okay to play to lose, and that's exactly what Williams did by blitzing like that. He didn't care about winning one bit. No matter the record, players always want to win. There's not a player on the Jets that cares about the draft. In fact, landing the top spot in the draft just means a handful of players are going to lose their jobs to rookies. They know that.

    The Jets brass had no choice but to fire him, if for no other reason than to keep that locker room from exploding. Players always want to win and I don't think they could have accepted him as the coach any longer

    So perplexing. I know Williams loves to blitz but you just can't send an all out blitz in that situation. He's been around long enough to know that.

    Was he trying to lose? He got fired so that wouldn't seem to make sense.

    But did Adam Gase ok the all out blitz? Did he object?

    So strange.

    I think he’s getting a bad rap. They ran cover 2 and gave up a big pass play. Then they ran cover 3 and almost gave up another big completion. Then he said “F it my DBs suck” and went cover zero since they weren’t covering **** anyway.
