    In all due respect, while James could catch a couple balls and block well he was not anywhere close the caliber of Health Miller.

    So he can get over it lol

    As much as I liked the guy, $6 million+ a year is too much for a backup TE.

    Jessie was a good tight end. Won't know what the Lions paid him until later today I guess but if McDonald goes down we're in big trouble as someone else has pointed out. The offense has really taken a hit this offseason

    James, considered by most the top tight end on the market, signed a four-year, $28.5 million deal that includes a voidable fifth year to help with accounting purposes.

    James got a $7.145 million signing bonus as part of $10.5 million in full guarantees. He has a low first-year base salary — the veteran minimum of $805,000 — plus a $50,000 workout bonus.
