That was my thought when I saw it. He didn't get hit in the leg, which would cause a contusion. He got it caught under something as he went down. That's how you get a sprain.

It's a killer injury, absolutely crippling to the offense.

And yes, they did get a little pass-happy at times last night, but the two holding calls played a big role in that. They were running it on the first drive of the third quarter until the shaky call on Foster ruined the drive. The possession that led to the punt return for a score was also ruined by a holding call. You can't really fault them for throwing on second and 15 or more.
