After watching the speed and determination of the Niners RBs and WR/TE sweeps last night, Steeler RBs seem to be running in quicksand and WR's don't know when to cut in and maintain full speed ahead. That was a pure running clinic on MNF last night.

A wildcat play that couldn't possibly fail is a direct snap to Switzer who then tosses it to Moncrief on a jet sweep. Moncrief then stops and throws the ball deep to Dirty Red who is lined up at TE. Of course we have to be backed up in the shadow of our own endzone in order for it to be implemented.

Fichtner would have him as the other deep threat in case Red was covered.

There goes my idea of using the Veer against the Chargers.

I heard Ron Cook say today that Steve Nelson is also questionable for the Chargers game with a groin injury. We might see the return of Artie Burns next week.

Our best RB just had knee surgery. We have to rely on The Fumbler to tote the rock now.

    Dropping like flies!

This season is well and truly a write off. Having lower expectations doesn’t make the Sunday viewing any easier though :crycry:

I think that is left over from blocking for Bell, who danced until he saw the opening. Doesn't seem to be any immediate push with a clear blocking lane where it is supposed to be, at least not often.

You had me until you mentioned tossing it to Moncrief. Unless you place the ball in his hands, staple it to his skin, and duct tape the rest of it, that ball will end up on the ground!

This is all setting up for the greatest “movie based on true events” ever, where we end up winning the super bowl with a squad of Uber drivers and amazon delivery drone handlers.

It would suck far worse to be a fan of the Dolphins, almost 50 years since they won a SB. Now they want to tank for high picks? They get high picks about every other year.

Still wouldn't work. He's like Houdini. The ball goes right between his hands and disappears.

Ever try and push two similarly charged magnets together? That's how Moncrief's hands and a football react.

What is sad is that I liked the Moncrief signing. I thought he might flourish with a good QB. Unfortunately, my hopes were dashed rather quickly. I have a hard time seeing him overcome whatever is ailing him. Being ever the optimist, maybe he will prove me wrong down the line.

    Same.

I was looking forward to him taking some pressure off JuJu and hopefully filling AB's clown shoes adequately. What a disappointment.

You are not alone I actually thought Moncrief was gonna be the deep threat and Ben would use him a lot for that.......bam was I wrong.
