So I'm going to go ahead and make the thread, because we all know the media is going to say the Steelers are interested. And y'all know it'll be Aiyuk 2.0 media with some acting like the trade is done.

We can’t be doing this with the 49ers again. Also I think Jonnu Smith has been brought in to play a role similar to what Jennings will give you

I think they will definitely bring in someone but it will be more of an outside guy like Davis or Amari Cooper

I do like cooper. And David I'm fine with as well because he's played that #2 a lot and can step up if needed.

The question is can he help us THIS season. I honestly don't know. Our QB situation is only a one year thing. Does Jennings bring ST value? He's big at 6'3" but ran a slow 40.

I like the guy. He's a tough SOB. Cut from the Hines Ward cloth IMO.

Well, you have to take into account he was like the 5th or 6th option on that offense.

I have trouble reconciling the 49ers WR's all wanting out of town with what Kyle Juszczyk said about having a great visit with the Steelers and them offering him more money but he just couldn't pull the plug on the Niners because he wanted to see it through. What goes on with that team.

I'm not against the idea. Can't see him making that much more above $15m/year. Honestly, considering his limited stat sheet, he'd probably make more money waiting until March.

Maybe he should've said something before the draft they could've traded Pickens for Jennings .

I saw some media error say steelers decided to trade pickens at the of last year.

Ummmm so why not do that trade before the draft. That would have been nice.

The NFL will not allow any WR to play the game the way Hines Ward once did. They would rather have a bunch of divas on the field than any tough SOB who would knock players into yesteryear. The NHL got rid of those players in a very short time and NFL is doing the same.

The media is always full of errors but I agree that getting rid of Pickens before or during the draft would have been better. They probably tried but 31 other teams probably saw another Antonio Brown type person. The person after the Burfict hit. Not the AB in his early days.

    They may have tried

There may not have been much interest from other teams wanting to see what they get in the draft

    IDK

Here is a theoretical from an insider on the internet so it must be valid maybe this is what you saw

It's fairly laughable for Jennings to be asking for a new contract.... he's never crossed the 1,000 yd mark receiving..... he hasn't shown the ability to play a full season either.... while he has ability, he should also realize that with the above 2 points, he's not about to net the 49ers any type of real value in a trade... with
his level of entitlement, he should be a stand up comedian

They tried to trade Pickens earlier, but Dallas only offered a 4th they were holding out for a 3rd.

Offer him $7.6. I’m tired of these Niners using us as a negotiating tool

This is the best he could put up in one of the best offenses in all of football???

7th round pick that until last year, where everyone was hurt, couldn't crack 500 yards.

Damn, this is a terrible contract for the 49ers. Dead Cap value of $13.8 million this year.

Holy Crap, how much Bonus/Void money would he leave behind in San Fran?
