Where is that coming from? He's listed as 6'1" 237 coming out of the combine and it's been reported he's put on @20lbs for the season. So now he's looking at being conservative 245-255.

Timmons was 6'1" 234 coming out of the combine. Can't find anything listing something else as his current weight, but we all know he's a bit heavier now.

 

He was 237 at the combine and he won't be getting smaller. That's within 5 pounds of our ILBs in recent history, and nowhere near "safety size." That's linebacker size. And he's faster and quicker than any ILB we've had, which helps get off blocks, and he's pretty explosive too. It might be the weakest part of his game, but even as a rookie I thought he did okay at that. Much better than expected. Changing his position to something he's never done would be a pretty big deal and setback, based on one concern you have.

 

If Troy stays, let's move him to ILB and Shazier to safety. Make sense?
