That tweet is enough to scare me. Played HS in GA. Played college in GA.

Playing in the cold is mostly mental. It takes a certain kind of player to enjoy it. It takes guys who care more about winning than they do about anything else.

I hear what you're saying, but he was in Atlanta last night and it was 70° there yesterday. In fairness, I'm a northerner who loves the cold and I would find that drastic change really difficult.

lol oh jeez. Come on it's not that big a deal.

Hines Ward was a Georgia boy through and through. Troy Polamalu is a Southern Cal guy completely. All football players play in the cold regardless of where their home stadium is.

The only time I think this would matter at all is a QB that doesn't have ideal arm strength playing somewhere like Buffalo.

Agreed. There are positions where it matters more and where a big change in weather can make a difference. QB and WR come to mind. I think he'll be able to rush the passer in the cold just fine.

Yep, remember the 70s when the Steelers had a QB from Louisiana, one WR from Southern California and another WR from Alabama, all warm weather confines? They all sucked in cold weather.

Just messin' with you, Snack. ;)

Lambert would have played in 20 below zero weather in the asphalt parking lot of Three Rivers Stadium. Didn't matter to that guy. He just loved the game and loved to hit. Of course, I've heard it said that on very cold days at TRS it was like playing on concrete anyway.

it didn't have to be cold at TRS for that surface to be that hard. it was pretty much a rug laid over the asphalt parking lot. LOL:cool:

I hope they stay away from this kid. I see bust written all over him, not to mention the medical concerns

I did a quick search to see if cold weather causes aggravation of spinal stenosis symptoms, and I didn't find much on the subject.

Everyone has been fooled on draft picks coming out before, myself included. But if Jones busted out of the league he would go right top the top of the list as the biggest surprises for me. Measurables aside - He is a force to be reckoned with.

Exactly! and if 65,000 screaming Steelers fans in snow don't get a player amped up in that tunnel about to run out, they shouldn't be there!
