I agree not sure what the deal was between the two but there was something there that didn't work. The thing now is JW is showing what he can do and if and when Ben comes back and he don't produce I guess we will know why. JW still has a ways to go but I am liking what I am seeing!

While his conversion was clutch, he did make a rookie mistake by going out of bounds and stopping the clock[/QUOTE]

I thought I was alone thinking this......did you hear me screaming at my tv?????? lol

Oh, Johnson definitely screwed up by running out of bounds there.

Where was the coming out when his college QB was leading the offense? One good game doesn't mean he has come out of anything. If he can produce on a consistent basis then I'll agree he has come out and hopefully for good.

JW has been playing well more than just one game. As for his college QB who knows, but nobody was having big games with him right?

I'm doubling down on those rookie mistakes being as much, if not more, a fault of bad coaching than being rookies.

Tomlin preaches situational awareness. No one can deny that. So for he and his staff to not have prepared the youngsters for that particular situation is beyond careless. We've said "rookie mistakes" 8734298472039 times. You don't think the coaching staff knows they are rookies as well? It takes very little time to grab the offense before they take the field and tell them to not stop the clock. It should have been done.

And Tomlin said he didn't speak to Duck before the Cleveland game about his expectations. He didn't want to put any more pressure on Duck by telling him what he expected. Are you effing kidding me? What a great coach. Afraid to tell your PROFESSIONAL qb what you expect of him because it would overwhelm him.

Bens public comments about Washington didn't help. However Washington was a rookie behind AB and a really productive JuJu. Ben must trust Washington when he comes back because the dude has seriously good hands and is tough as nails

Not just AB and Juju but also Vance, JJ and Conner. There just wasn't enough balls to go around but like I said last year let worry about our 6th option only catching 8 out of 25 balls smh.
