Agreed. He will make plays for them that help them win games and that makes me sick.

Trying to gather my thoughts on this one. I guess I'll always appreciate what JH has accomplished as a Steeler. The INT return in the Super Bowl is one of my great football memories and, IMHO, the greatest defensive play in Super Bowl history. But why in the crap did you have to sign with the freaking Cheatriots, dude?! I know you had the right to sign with any team of your choosing, but come on! The way I look at it this makes it all the more sweet when we kick your red, white and blue Patriot butt in the AFCCG.

I know plenty of locals that are like screw it he obviously wasn’t good enough to get on the field in our defense. It’s like people think Tomlin woke up one morning and was like I officially don’t like Harrison and I’m going to sit him inactive and then release him. You have Watt, Dupree, Chick, and Moats all ahead of Harrison and can all cover and move around. Can you imagine if Bell gets one on one with Harrison in a pass route? While McCullers isn’t anything special he does play on the goal line and doesn’t have as many people in front of him. If Hargrave goes down we are all of a sudden really thin at NT without MCCullers not the case at OLB.

Villinuava is susceptible to the bull rush and there isn’t a player out there that knows how to beat him better then Harrison.

The team is gonna have to change all of our audibles . He can also tell NE how we will respond to their formations . We just helped them win games . Anyone who thinks James can’t help them is a liar or stupid.

This is pure message board speculation on my part, but I believe Joey Porter and JH had a little alpha male rivalry going on. Apparently, Tomlin and Porter are tight so I can't help but believe that that dynamic played into this somehow. Again, speculation on my part (which we're allowed to do on a message board, right?) and I don't have any evidentiary info to support my claim, just one fan's gut feeling.

Let’s be honest...I was painting my pool room today to add black to the gold. So, I haven’t been on here and don’t have one to read it all

Bottom line, as much as we all love James, he wasn’t good enough to beat out our backups.

I feel like I need to change my pic now. Not sure who to put in his place.

    My choices are:

    Bell
    Cam Heyward
    Ju Ju
    Ryan Shazier
    Alejandro Villanueva

Well call me stupid because I see them going right after him. Trai Essex said the whole trading info thing is overblown. Our defensive formations are a number system that change at every half. I’m sure the offensive audibles change every week also. Noticed we have heard no more Dilly Dilly. I believe Burns or one of the defenders said things will be completely different if they see them again anyways. Harrison is slow. If Ben gets the ball off in under 3 seconds he doesn’t stand a chance. In over 600 snaps last year he had 5 sack. Sorry not too worried about him. If he could still play he would be on the Steelers.

Also AV normal swallows power guys up while struggling with speed guys. His frame isn’t one that is easily bull rushed. The knock on AV has always been speed guys getting around his initial punch. Harrison will repeatedly get his with that first punch. His isn’t the Harrison that can get down to that 45 degree angle anymore.

I am confused, JH calls brady and pats cheaters yet his kids want a signed brady jersey? Are they his biological kids or adopted ?

Man I would love the double agent theory. But unfortunately that's a bit too far fetched.

It goes to show that there's no loyalty in sports, except in the minds of fans.

If JH lights it up in NE, I'll be pissed that the coaches didn't use him right. Obviously he can still be useful if that happens, he just needed the right scheme/plays. If he looks like he did in Pittsburgh, then who cares who he signs with

First of all there is no playbook he is going to deliver to NE, it's the last week of the season, there is enough games played that teams know what other teams are doing. The Patriots know the Steelers play the zone AKA don't cover Gronk defense or single cover him or if Gronk isn't there don't cover Hogan defense. What he can help is the approach to how the Steelers approach Brady on situational plays. Like do they prefer to show blitz if X happens or if Y happens do they back out. More scheme stuff so any questions the Patiots have about specific schemes he can fill them in. But he isn't going to deliver a playbook. The Steelers and every other team are what they are this time of year.

Y'all really need to stop trying to sell this narrative. It's a terrible comparison that doesn't hold up to anybody who understand what Blount was at the time and what Harrison is now.
